Whoa - Fox just broke in stating 7 dead, 12 wounded in "mass shooting" at Ft Hood.
Not clear who did it, or who's dead/wounded (service members or civ base workers), but whatever the circumstances, this is not good. Shep Smith said someone is in custody, there is a second suspect - in fatigues - don't know if active duty or not. Prayers go out... "Fear God and Dreadnaught" |

update (I'm working out of the house today, so TV is on) - two, maybe three shooters, base on complete lockdown. sounding like a coordinated effort, which makes a single person snapping PTSD more unlikely. witnesses reporting hearing both pistol and rifle fire - uncertain if that was all attack, or Army reacting in defense
local schools also on lockdown. no news media being allowed on base. sounds like the search is on for the other shooter. Fox says they plan to fly their helocopter over the base, as "air space is still unrestricted" "Fear God and Dreadnaught" |

I was stationed there from 92-94. Back then, it was easy to get on post. Can't imagine it is easy now. Getting on to Aberdeen was a PITA when I was there for school a couple of years ago. This really sucks. _______________________________ Poppa Chester is proud of you. |
