Here's my post on one of the main forums in yUK - Youtube's English shooting calls it a day.

Callum Long-Collins, Youtuber and blogger on the whys and wherefores of legal shooting of firearms in the UK, has decided to call it a day.

https://pjmedia.com/trending/uk-poli...-of-extremism/

Quote - On Sunday, YouTuber Calum Long-Collins announced he would be effectively shutting down the channel EnglishShooting, a YouTube channel that racked up more than 15,000 subscribers and more than 12 million views in the past four years. Long-Collins said the police had marked his YouTube channel as a "forum of extremism," and that he had to "show the police that I am a fit character to own firearms within the U.K."

"I was told that due to repeated comments from other people on the videos [police] felt that the channel was a forum of extremism and it was promoting views that were not in line with legal firearms ownership within the U.K.," Long-Collins said in a YouTube video announcing "The End of EnglishShooting."

The trouble began two years ago, when his licenses were revoked following a false accusation. His licenses were restored, but police found previous videos on his channel that they considered suspect.

To tell the truth, the poor b*gger sounds as though he has been brainwashed into it. A more level-headed commentator on the lunacy of some of yUK's draconian firearms laws could not be imagined. Over the last four years, via the media of Youtube AND yUK TV, he seems to have spent a lot of time and money trying to convince the rest of the world that is really isn't too bad here in UK. On the contrary - all this has proved is that it's not just as bad as people imagine - it's much worse.

The high-handed approach by his local police force - literally policing his Youtube posts - has resulted in him having the 'rethink his attitudes and beliefs...regarding the ownership of firearms...I'm having to prove that I am a fit person to have firearms...'

WTF?

It is a common sight here in yUK to see a couple or three hundred police trucked in from far and wide to a football match, roads closed, mounted police officers and helicopters deployed, special constables called in from their allotments and extensive TV coverage in order to keep two crowds of football fans from mass mayhem and civil disobedience. Meanwhile, a couple of weeks back in the rolling hills of Surrey, namely, Bisley, well over a thousand people were shooting 'real live bullet guns, mister', with nary a police officer in sight.

Why doesn't he just get someone from out of the UK to run it? Bendable for instance.

I am grateful to King George III for his diligence in governing poorly which lead to his loss of the American Colonies. It seems hundreds of years later, similarly wise people are insisting on leading the people of the UK forward.

I like the people of the UK. The Nation as a whole has done much good in the world, but I cannot figure out their modern government.

I just watched the latest video. He sounded very dejected and penitent, pathetic in a way. It makes me very grateful for the protections of our God-given rights enumerated in Bill of Rights.

yUK yuck = UK.

If they had to go to war, they would want "extremists" like him.

Wonder if they have any "real" crime to clean up over there?

Kinda like it used to be at work. When things were going really good and the company had nothing to bitch about....they would always find something no matter how meaningless it was.

I know that the UK is trying to portray weapons as evil...not people and especially not militants from any religion.

I read recently that the London police have 900 officers assigned to policing social media. Interesting, if true, since Paki rape gangs are so active. Really makes you wonder what happened to British men (no offense, Tac.) Once upon a time, Britons would have driven out the invaders with axes, hammers and clubs. In Eastern KY, pedophiles often go missing, and often end up filling dead mine shafts.

tac, forgive me if I’m out of line, but...in past years when members of this forum made disparaging remarks about firearms ownership and use laws in the UK, haven’t you come to the defense of your country’s laws, indicated that the criticism was unjustified, and listed firearms that you own and the events you attend with them? Offhand, I cannot think of another forum member from the UK.
