In addition to regular treatment? Sounds promising.

I sure hope your torn skin is healing.

LBJ you are acting as excited as a new Father- Grandpa.

Got to remember this is your first time at dealing with the new born.

They can cry awhile as you fetch the formula or diapers.

I can remember myself running into doorways in the night to fetch something for the crying newborn. It gets easier the next time around.

Remember crying is good for them. Also good for Grandpa. It wears them out a bit and then their naps are a little longer.

You are doing fine.
God Bless.
Roy

Yeah, it's healing.
The big flap of skin I put back in place has turned into a nice protective scab.

Hope I did not ruin any meals here.

Sorry I am late to the Great News!
Congrats to all. You are in for the ride of your life!
Tears will flow as you marvel at the daily sights you are in for.
Take many pics ... Natural settings. Nothing staged.

I lost every baby pic I had ( entire family pics) when the pull behind Uhaul trailer that housed all out worldly goods were stolen right off our car when we stopped to sleep in San Antonio during our move there.

My family had a few pics that I had sent out .. So my boys do have some to look back at their childhood with.

Natural settings pics will provide many years of memories for their lifetime.

Thank you for sharing this great news with us.

Sorry for your fall and pain that accompanied it. Be careful and hope the healing continues.

God bless you and your entire family.

Most Sincerely,

Donna

I am 95% healed up with a pretty decent outcome, thank you.

Late last week, the US Government sent Miles his first letter... his social security card no less.

That didn't take long.

One of my daughters the other day was asking me if I am scared of dying.

I told her that I am not scared per se, just super apprehensive. And I think that's true.
I don't seem to have a fear of death.

Oh it's sad alright, when I think about my family and me not being around.
My impending demise brings forth all kinds of emotions all the time, but fear isn't one of them. Very strange.

I seem to have been OK before I was conceived, so I figure I will be OK once dead.
Such might sound odd to some but for most people, death isn't thought about all the time like it is with me.

I am happy that for most of my life, my death was just a concept way out on the horizon.
And that was a good thing.
If I had spent my whole life worrying about my death, I would never have lived a rich full life.
I suppose it's like that for the entire human race.

What I can say about me is that death is always at hand these days (understandable)and is always on my mind, yet I am still glad to be around and living.
But I live differently than I used to in that my priorities have changed and some I have outright deleted.
I mean, I have a year or so left, maybe a year and half, and I find that some of my old priorities just don't matter any more.
Plus, the more priorities I have, the less time I have for them all.
Therefore, I have just a couple of priorities, all involving my loved ones, pets included.
There really isn't time for more than that, well, other than maybe shooting a bit here and there, being on the net (I am a real news hound, love reading on the net), and driving in my automobiles the last 46 years.

In some ways, though not too many, my life is less cluttered than ever. That's kind of odd, but it does make sense.

One of things about being terminal is that we know something you all don't yet, but one day you will.

In the conversation with one of daughters I referenced above, I remember telling her that I find this terminal experience worthwhile.
There is much introspection and dare I say, a few mental gymnastics that are necessary to get through this.
As I always have said in my life and to her: It's always worthwhile, always. Remember that.

It took me a little while to get the hang of this terminal stuff as evidenced in the evolution of my thoughts as posted in this thread over time. It's pretty easy to see that.

I guess what I am trying to say with this post is that as strange as it may sound, this terminal thing I have is a very worthwhile experience to add to everything else I have learned in life, and I see no reason to not to experience this just like anything else in my past.
I am actually growing in so many ways.

Of course I won't get to keep that growth very long but still... very worthwhile.

I figure in my last days, dying will be pretty much for the birds, but until then... well, I think you know.

Mrs LBJ decided she wanted some cosmetic surgery done. We spent the night in Greenwood Village and had the procedures done yesterday.

I would typically be so so about such because I think she looks fine.
But I am perfectly fine if she wants it done.
This got to me to thinking that this surgery is a good thing.

After I am gone, perhaps this cosmetic surgery will be a Godsend if it helps her find another mate.
I really mean that. It makes perfect sense.
I don't want her to be lonely and think it'd be great if she moves on and finds another special someone.

That said, I ain't tellin' her about my line of thinking though.

Some of us are old enough to remember The Three Stooges.
I was reminded today of a term they used for an older scorned mean type woman... an old battle axe.
Remember that one?

Today, I am over at the pet food store because my wife is temporarily down for the count.
There I am minding my own business as I get 2 cases of the canned dog food we feed our 2 dogs.
Behind me came the screeching sound of grated cheese:
"Case after case after case of the dog food I want, you shouldn't be allowed to buy that many!"
Yes, truly an old battle axe, even in her late forties.
I told her her 2 cases seemed normal to me and walked off to pay for my apparent ill gotten spoils of dog food wars.

In another time in my life, I would have gone toe to toe with this prematurely old battle axe, sour puss that she was.
Enjoyed myself even.
But I have miles to go before I sleep, and she was a waste of time.
Old battle axe indeed.

If looks and words could kill, I guess I'd be dead already.

It's a sad state of affairs in this world to think one's life could end over a couple of cases of dog food.

And why do I think if the fortunes were reversed that she'd have bought both those cases without remorse.

Yes, the world works that way sometimes, doesn't it.
Before I get super critical though, like my mom used to say:
"It takes all types to run the world."

She was right of course.

Thank you for sharing the photo of your Grandson. He looks so peaceful sleeping there, safe and secure, not a care in the world. Exactly as things should be. Good for you and your family.

Hope you have a wonderful day.
