It has been an emotional day.
We all had a good cry this afternoon as we worried that this very well could be our last vacation with all of us present.
It was a tough few minutes.

First it was me and the wife, then later, it was each daughter separately.
For whatever reason, all of us were on the same page, bad asses that we are.

I cannot say that any of us are happy with such feeling, but the cards are dealt and we play the hand.

We are staying at Hotel Breakers right at the park. We have a suite with a screened balcony and a view of Lake Erie, as well as the pool so I can people watch.
My but people can be entertaining.
I like watching the seagulls glide around as well.

I really got a kick yesterday watching my daughters kick sand and run along the beach.
Simple pleasures, you know?

Like you said, it looked like I was merely posting about our vacation and it may have seemed off topic.
I just post about what I think and do and usually it leads to some serious emotional things and discoveries at some point.

No secrets here or anything, just observations and feelings.

What a great family photo! Really neat, it sounds like a great vacation with wife and daughters.

When my wife goes to visit the kids and grand kids, they usually take a day or two to go to Cedar Point. I've never been, I'd probably prefer a root canal to a day at an amusement park, but it's OK, somebody has to stay home to take care of the dog and keep our business running, so that's my role. Can't travel well anyway, what with the Guillain Barré.
