That's probably not the kind of memory you're looking to create with the daughter, for sure.

Glad to hear you're doing well, and look forward to you getting to do more and more things you enjoy.

I can relate to this.

I had a chemo infusion port in my chest. When the Thoracic Surgeon removed it in her office the long tube went into what is called, per a report, the left venous access port tip in superior vena cava.

I asked don’t you have to seal it or something like cauterize it??

She said no. it is a low flow suction and will seal right up.

Well she is the specialist what the heck do I know. Big Grin

Here is a video of my daughters zip lining here on Kona the other day.
They really loved doing this.

Nobody thinks I zip lined, do they?
I think I have had plenty of thrills this year.

The trip is over.

I sent the girls horseback riding, zip lining, sky diving and scuba-ing.
It was an action packed vacation for them.

Mrs. LBJ did all the things the daughters did as well.
I didn't of course.

His aunt calls him Mr. Bean.
Mom calls him Bug.
I call him Mr. Bug.

He opened his gifts yesterday morning and had a small smash cake last night and made a huge mess.

Today is a trip to the petting zoo called The Farm.
He really likes animals and waves at them more than he does with people.

I was thinking the other day about what great advice I have for my daughters.

The problem for me is that although I give great advice, I can almost never follow my own advice, it's like I'm blind or something.
That makes no sense but there it is.

Our lives would definitely be better and go smoother if we could follow our own advice.
Darn.

It's the classic that we heard a few times growing up from our dad, "do as I say, not as I do", and we were like oh HELL no........

So yeah, walking the walk is a bit harder. Same goes with me and my kids......but they get it....at least a little, and make my advice worthwhile.

Here's the thing I've told them many times over the years: Good judgement comes from making mistakes, but if you continue to make the same mistakes over and over you're doing it wrong.

I had treatment last Friday and the blood work is looking reasonable.

Creatinine is holding steady from 3 weeks ago at at 1.90.
That's on the high side of normal for having one kidney, so not bad considering everything I have gone through this year.

Hemoglobin increased another half point from 3 weeks ago to 12.5.
That is up from a low of 7.8 or something back in March.

All in all, not bad and I carry on.
