We have 2 balconies, that one has the worst view, the other one is better.

I'd take that "worst" one in a nano-second! Looks absolutely gorgeous! Sure hope you and the family have the time of your lives!

The vacation is winding down and we should be home this weekend.

All in all a very nice trip except for a few snits thrown by one of the daughters.

I was able to find a UPC church to attend called the Praise Tabernacle in Waikaloa Village.
It is a good place and the people were really nice.
www.praisetabhawaii.com

Next up come the bills for the vacation, so hide the women, children and pets. It is carnage, I will say that.
I can safely say that I was successful in creating a lifetime memory of this vacation for everyone, which was my intent is the first place.

I am ready to come home and see my animals and go to my new church.

Tonight, the daughters get to go swimming with the mantas... again.

Yeah, that definitely looks like a view from a prison cell, what with all the iron bars and such.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to Kona since 1989. Such beautiful place. So relaxing. Even better with family.

Near the Kona Hilton, there was a Chinese, Hawaiian restaurant that had real good food. It was painted sea green. Have you seen it? Wondering if its still there. If you see you might want to stop in for lunch. Sorry I can't remember the name.

I have not seen it.
We went to Merrimans in Waimea a couple of nights ago.
I had a dessert called a Chocolate Silk Purse which was incredible. It was perhaps the best desert I ever had.

I have only done the beach maybe 4 times and the pool twice.
I have done a lot of babysitting with little Miles. In fact, I have him now and fortunately he is sleeping... for now.
He's been a lot of fun.
The hotel grounds are quite large, so I do get my exercise.

And the countdown continues to October 1st, then I will make my first ever attempt to quit smoking.
If it was up to my worldly self, I would keep on smoking.
But quitting smoking isn't about me.
Plus all ya'll know what it's about.

Oh, and in an hour, I am off to get my Lomi Lomi massage with added bamboo somethingoranother and some hot rocks thrown in.
It's just terrible here.

On with the negativity.
The massage was awful, and I feel all relaxed and stuff.
I am not sure how that happened.

I think they used some oil on me along with some bamboo and hot rocks, and I swear they put moose in my hair.
I'm also smelling good, which is not very moose like, but still.

This vacation is tough to deal with.
It isn't easy being me.
Ya'll should be happy you are not here.
I think you would hate to be in Hawaii right about now.

Sorry for being so negative, but I have had so much un-fun that it was hard to not do so.

Seriously though, great vacation.
The daughters swam with the manta rays up close and personal last night.
Once they got back to the room, it was clear from their quickened speech that they were adrenalized.

The daughters, of course, are feeling disappointed the vacation is wrapping up, but Mrs LBJ and I are ready to go home and see our animals.

It was a landmark vacation for sure.
Our intent of creating a lifetime memory for the girls is complete and set in stone.

If you are serious about quitting smoking, Nicorette (cinnamon) worked for me. Every time you want a smoke, chew a piece of the gum. Pertty soon, it is one hour without a cigarette. Then two, then four, then the next day comes, and you went an entire day without smoking (which you probably thought you could never do). Then two days, then a week, etc. Good luck, and it will be the best thing you ever do.
