Lately the totality of it all approaches overwhelming at times.

I am very concerned, frankly, in more different ways at once than perhaps ever before in my life.

By all objective measures the next few months seem to be some of the most important in modern human history, and certainly United States history. Not that I think an actual civil war is coming soon, I don't, I think the actual number of violent miscreants is rather small and would be dealt with handily, especially when the shit hits the fan, but even if it ends up a fairly-peaceful Presidential election cycle it's probably going to be an extraordinary shit show just the same, and that - on top of a global pandemic and the already complicated world of geo and domestic politics - is a variation of a recipe that we've not seen.

I'd like to fast forward to December, myself.

Here's a video from Heavy Duty Country, a texan, pointing out the errors of the NFAC's leader Grand Master Jay.
HDC has a few more enlightening videos on this twit.
**Added the other two at the end, if you want to watch all three start at the bottom.

Jay claims to be ex military... yeah, right. Roll Eyes
It's mind boggling that these people can get a following.

The Lasers of Discontent

The first few days, no.
At the Columbus statue, yes.

Like I said, DONT underestimate these devious little shitstains! That goes for the LE here too.
How easy is it to figure out the frequency for a local police departments radio?
$50 on Amazon, and I have a small, programmable radio. All I need to do is key up the mike, and it interrupts everyone's radio transmissions. Now the departments communications are fucked up.

Move to the next city, lather, rinse, repeat with the radio.

The "blm" and "acab" "fuck 12" "fuck the police" signs? Count how many are being held up by PVC pipe. Sharpen the end of the PVC up, and you have a nice little weapon.

Count how many are wearing forearm pads (like football). Why would a "peaceful" protester wear forearm pads (or shin guards for soccer)?

They have "medics" in the crowd with their own first aid kits.

Like I said, they know what they're doing.
Nothing more than domestic terrorists, and need to be treated as such.

"Heavy Duty Country" makes good and valid points. The only reason I post this, it to address the "possibility" of firing of a weapon due to impact or dropping incident. (and this is not 100% comprehensive to all firearms or actions). Only posted to clarify, and with the understanding that this is "Captain Obvious" stuff, for most on this forum.)

The only "credit" that can be (and it is a stretch) to old "Sgt. Maj Jay" is that some poorly maintained auto-loading firearm *might* have a slam-fire, if the firing pin can impact the primer, and/or if the incorrect primers are used.

The % of likelihood is very small, and falls under "proper maintenance, operation, use and following proper safe firearm handling".

And lastly, no one should be "drilling" with live ammunition. That is constrained to "live fire" portions of training. We never "drilled" with live ammo, but only had live ammo during "active fire" training. But that was over 40 years ago, and things always change. (so, from that POV/experience, of USAF and AFSOC Training)

All that said. While I support the 2nd for all Americans. Do not ever dismiss that "all free Americans" who exercise their 2ndA rights, will be standing shoulder to shoulder with any of us, should the balloon go up.

It is my hope that *they*, will be on the side that is weighted to the origin and founding of this Republic, but always keep in mind what Gen. Mattis (USMC) said:'Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.' (even if he "McCain"ed himself, his admonition holds true...)

Make your bed, every day, and "clean your rifle"...

Will the Peoria, I'll P.D and S.O. be arresting
16 people from Chicago
14 people from Nashville
15 people from E. St. Louis
and
22 people from Champagne / Urbana
Even for a weekend ?

Do they have anywhere near the resources or funds to be able
to carry that out.

The numbers of people might be the
Biggest problem for already streached thin departments.

I'll post the last line of the article first

"the election was no longer a referendum on Trump, but a referendum on the survival of America."

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...lice-abolishing-ice/

Self-proclaimed Marxist and Black Lives Matter (BLM) co-founder Patrisse Cullors called on Democrats to make “sea changes” to their party platform and adopt radical legislation that calls to defund the police force, eliminate both the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and close all federal prisons and immigration detention centers, alongside various other radical demands — otherwise, “any claims of allyship and solidarity with our work to fight for black liberation are for naught.”

Cullors stated there is “an opportunity right now to right the course of history” and warned that if not careful, the Democratic Party “will miss its greatest opportunity” to lead our country to the “true American revolution.”

Cullors:

Until and unless our leaders become signatory to the BREATHE Act — to legislation that eliminates the federal government’s ability to give multi-million dollar grants to militarize police forces; dismantles punitive like ICE, Border Patrol, and the DEA; ends the use of surveillance systems being used to target protesters; and bans the use of police agencies to suppress political dissent — the Democratic Party of today will be remembered as the party of complicity. The party that refuses to sacrifice its own creature comforts and material securities to ensure it walked the walk. So before you leave today, I want you to answer this question for yourselves: Which side of history is my party actually on?

In a call following her remarks, Cullors told Axios that she and other activists are “playing the long game” and that “even if we get Trump out in November we will still be having this same conversation about police violence with Biden in office.”

Formulated by the radical Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) — a coalition of more than 150 organizations and championed by Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — the bill, posted on breatheact.org, is broken into four sections that focus on reforming federal institutions and policies.

The first section calls for moves such as divesting from police agencies like the DEA and ICE, dramatically reducing the Department of Defense budget, ending life sentences and mandatory minimum sentences, closing all federal prisons and immigration detention centers, and decriminalizing and retroactively expunging both state and federal drug offenses.

The second section calls for federal grants to incentivize local jurisdictions to decarcerate jails and/or defund police forces, close detention facilities, abolish state gang databases, remove police from schools, repeal all juvenile offenses, eliminate all court fees and forgive past debts.

The next section calls for allocating new money for social equality in communities that provide equitable funding for all schools; developing school curricula that examines the impacts of colonialism, genocide against indigenous peoples and slavery; closing youth detention centers; and providing a lifetime of free access to education for undocumented immigrants, including those who are currently or were formerly incarcerated.

The final section calls for reparations for those incarcerated, including enfranchisement to vote; creating a public financing program for campaigns powered by small-dollar contributions; incentivizing states to increase voter turnout; and allowing undocumented immigrants to vote in local and state elections.

Unsurprisingly, many of the BREATHE Act’s demands resemble recommendations made by the Biden-Sanders criminal justice task force.

the nationwide push led by Black Lives Matter to defund the police is part of a larger radical agenda expressed in the group’s own manifesto which openly seeks a revolution to topple the U.S. capitalist system and its replacement with a socialist-style government replete with universal income, collective ownership, and the redistribution of wealth.

Just a single video, but if it is how the "protesters" respond to the lower side of riot control, it is good to see.

I also like the phrase: "...this has been declared a riot..."

I remember of a "sonic weapon" developed by .mil years ago that would make folks lose control of their bowels. Why can't a few of those be deployed when rioters appear? Police back off and everyone else gets to poop their pants! Also mark the bad ones with indelible ink from paint ball guns for later ID. Round them up afterwords and put them away.

I have, for the most part tried to refrain from any type of social media as of late, including SF. As regards to the Shit show that has been taking place here downtown it was the worse I've seen in all my time on the job. The lack of leadership was clear. As CPD SIG stated, there was no communication, no plan of action and when over 4000 protestors/rioters overtook the State Street Bridge and Wabash Street Bridge, all (8), yes that's not a typo, EIGHT officers were easily overrun. Trump Tower was the objective for these assholes and we had to hold it at all costs. I won't get into specifics, but needless to say it was an all out riot and nothing less. If the State Police were not there to help support us, Trump Tower would have been in flames. There was a Homicide that occurred 1 city block from our position in which we actually had a bird's eye view to, but were powerless to do anything due to the mob. I watched officers cry out in pain, broken bones, torn tendons and multiple scrapes and cuts. I never heard so many calls for emergencies in my entire career.

ANTIFA/BLM are very well organized compared to what they were back during NATO. They are adapting to more sophisticated methods. They are employing tactics similar to police departments, military units and have much better funding than ever before. They also know that perceived optics that the MSM is putting out (ie propaganda) is working in their favor, so we must adapt. It's an uphill battle here in Chicago, but I can assure you we are not surrendering anything, we are just tactically retreating. If the current leadership does not step up, there are many of us former military/old school coppers, that will step up and fill that void.

At a later date, when things have calmed down I may post into more detail of what happened. It's a period of time I'd rather forget. With the upcoming election, I'm scheduled to be on furlough for that time period, but it's a possibility that they may actually cancel it. I sure hope not, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Thank you Para for creating this thread. It is good to have a pressure relief valve for the current climate of everything that is going on. To all of my SF family, please practice situational awareness and stay safe.

I am of the opinion that there will be Marshal Law declared at least in some areas. To quell what will become larger insurrections, as it is realized that Trump will be re-elected. I don't know if it will be before or after the election's but It will have to happen in some of the enemies strongholds.

I’ve been a cop for 16 years. 3 years as a uniformed local police officer and the last 13 as a fed. I’ve either worked in or done longer term details to some of the worst cities that I’ve seen or could imagine. I do JTTF stuff part of the time, I work as a bomb technician, and I still do work as a generalist as is necessary in a smaller office. What I see now is a perfect storm of events that the hard core left have utilized to their full advantage. Even before George Floyd’s death there was a feeling of uneasiness and raw nerves due to all of the restrictions, fear mongering and quarantine caused by the COVID pandemic. And regardless of how you feel about the actual disease there is no doubt that the responses that our government has made have been as real as can be and the uneasiness that these responses has caused is real.

What you are seeing is the results of locking down a society that is based in freedom. People got bored and curious in addition to their uneasiness. They began experimenting with things that they never would have gotten into previously. Couple all of this with the subliminal level propaganda of the hard core left (think of all the quick ads and images and sound bytes you see on internet and social media platforms which are completely dominated and controlled by the left) and you’ve got all the makings of a perfect storm. I’m seeing a mob mentality like I’ve never seen in my career. The George Floyd related anarchy was the spark which caused everything to detonate. Couple all of that with the growing dissatisfaction with government and career politicians from people all over the political spectrum that has been feeding the fires.

The problem is that the people who would normally bring order and stability to society, the police, have been handcuffed and unable to do their jobs in the areas where this uprising is strongest. Essentially the areas that most need the police in order to restore normalcy have been denied that service. Interestingly, now that that genie is out of the bottle, some of the people that were handcuffing the police are now starting to get concerned as well. The widespread push to urbanization has driven property values up in a lot of urban areas which has afforded the leftist leaders of those cities to spend recklessly and embrace some of their more extreme ideologies because the money has continued to roll in. Now that even the rich people driving the extreme rise in property values in those urban areas are starting to get worried and property values are teetering on the verge of falling like a stone in even the high end, fully gentrified areas of those urban cities a lot of those leftist, but not radical leftist politicians are starting to get concerned.

I know I’m rambling a bit but I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m seeing challenges like I’ve never seen or even considered before. The situation isn’t without its positives though, and I have also seen a lot of support from the silent majority. Especially once you leave the cities you find a lot of people that don’t like the way things are unfolding right now. I think it just underscores the importance of us silent majority members sticking together and supporting the rule of law that lies at the foundation of our republic. We have a rough road ahead of us, but if we stick together we just might come out the other side stronger than before.

I offer a few action items to consider:

1. Stop caving in to the chorus of inevitability; believing that all is lost. This plays right into the goal of these insurrectionists.

2. Stop what is to me the insane drive to only support a political candidate that the other side will respect. The only candidates that will earn any scrap of respect from these far left liberals are ones that loose. These riots, at their core are a means to a political end that the current democratic leadership supports. We must support candidates who fight and can win.

3. Send money to the candidates who are taking a stand against this attempted revolution. I am spending more money on trying to influence Ballot Box outcomes than I’m spending on Beans and Bullets. My contribution is only a drop...but that’s what oceans are made of.

4. Fly the Flag. That simple act reminds me every day of what the fight is about.

5. Meet your neighbors. It is different for us as we live in the sticks. However, a close relative of mine lives in a wealthy community not that far away from one of these continuing riot zones. He has gotten together with his neighbors to work out plans of what to do in the event these rioters show up in their neighborhood. They are not planning on how to engage them in a dialogue.

6. Back the Blue.

EXCELLENT SUGGESTIONS. CARVE THEM IN STONE!

Here is another:

7. Stop tippy-toeing around all the Commies in your neighborhood and town. Proudly display yard signs and bumper stickers of upstanding patriot candidates. Wear your TRUMP hat and tee shirt.
