I would say the same for Lewiston. Unless it has changed very radically in the last few years! I was born and grew up there, and virtually every household had at least a couple of long guns, and knew how to use them! They used those guns to put meat on the table. The schools actually allowed a student absence so they could go big game hunting in the fall. | |||

I haven't seen it posted, maybe I missed such, one of the challenges we have is that many of the younger generation were not raised to honor the founding of America. Rather they were taught in school (even through college) that a number of the founders were dishonorable and selfish people. And all nation's founding principles/cultures are equal to or superior to America. Seems to me that is one of the seeds planted in public education for years that is giving socialism (Democrats) so much steam. "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. There you go... it all started with 'progressive' movement in education, well over 100 years ago. Saul Alinsky taught the leftist radicals how to step it up notch by notch. That's how we got here. Reversing it will have to happen notch by notch as well. That's barely more than 2 loaded AR mags; I dare say that if things got to where they became assaultive, and your life and property were in danger, they'd scatter like cockroaches after the first well placed shots. It's the media response that would be truly dangerous and is the greatest jeopardy IMO. After some prayerful consideration I have come to understand that if the union is to be saved, if the protection of the constitution is to be restored, if we are ever again to have peace and long lasting prosperity, it will be only through divine intervention. I believe that was the means by which the founding happened and the constitution created. Since then the weakness of men and the force of evil have combined to unravel that fabric so that now very little is left of the republic and the principles of liberty. Last night was first night I have seen where the protesters did not draw the Officers out of the Federal Court House in Portland. For the last two months, every night they have started fires to draw the officers out and then bombard them with objects and lasers, which led to use of CS gas and rubber bullets. It will be interesting to see, now with State Marshals taking over security for the Federal Court House will it dwindle down? “We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for our administration…President Obama’s administration before this. It's already pretty clear that these folks are going to dismiss the Durham report as Barr swinging for Trump. Actual treason is going to be spun as some clerical errors and a few poor decisions. Mbinky, I think you are right. Tuesday, and Wednesday night some of the live streamers were following the Feds as they walked past protesters into the park. The streamers kept on discussing “what” and “who” are they looking for. There was a definite change even with the Federal Officer response this week, with focus on objects in the park. Now last night it appeared to me that it was a largely BLM contingent which was upset with Antifa for taking over their movement. In fact there were two with megaphones 20 feet apart competing with different messages. One “BLM” saying this is the wrong way to do things, the other Antifa yelling “whose streets, our streets” an ironically “Black Lives Matter”. Good question. Recently, criminal insurgents threatened to take their violent protests out of the commercial areas and into the neighborhoods, i.e. bring the violence to the quiet residential areas, in Lakeland, FL. Lakeland is not a small town, but is not a large city, either. If the insurgency gains traction in the urban areas, it will move out into the suburbs, and then the small towns. This space intentionally left blank. | |||

Well the local and state government really played the Feds on this one. Do nothing to stop the assault on the Federal courthouse, forcing DHS to intervene, then still do nothing to help DHS. Let the media blame DHS for causing the riots, and accuse Trump and Barr of Naziism. Then finally take the simple action of cutting the rioters' supply chain (as I stated earlier) and "poof" problem solved. Then promote the false narrative that the DHS pullout was the reason the rioters stopped, and use that in other states to refuse Federal intervention. Local and state were COMPLICIT in the riots and assault on the courthouse. They could have solved the problem two months ago but did nothing. All of it just to point fingers at Trump and scream Orange Man Bad! Truly sickening they would stoop to this level, but the far left has no limit to how low they will go. | |||
