Anyone know where we might get some ethanol free gasoline in the Manassas area?

I checked that site on line that lists such sites, but no luck, there. The site is voluntary and they indicate that there are most likely a lot of places not listed.

Thanks for any help.

I'd love to find a place here in Southern Arizona. They had one site listed in NH and it was about a 45 mile drive to get there so I phoned

they hadn't had straight gas in almost 10 years

There used to be a gas station over by Old Dominion speedway across from the national guard armory/fairgrounds that sold race fuel, non ethanol stuff, hell I think they were one of the last places I saw leaded fuel

I wish I could tell you if it's still there. Even though I'm still in the area, I get gas close to me and admittedly don't pay much attention otherwise

Marinas generally sell it but it's always expensive there.

General aviation airports sell 100 low lead, no ethanol, but higher octane than usually necessary so may not run well with some lower compression engines. Small quantities, you'd have to call and ask.

There are a few spots south of Manassas around Lake Anna, mostly marinas. I believe EPA controls in which counties it can be sold, that's why you don't see it in most metropolitan areas. I just paid $3.79/gal at my marina in Deltaville to use in my lawn equipment during the fall. I also get it at a heating oil distributor in Medford, VA (not too far from King's Dominion), probably an hour or more away from Manassas, though. I like that one because it's 89 octane Texaco ethanol free, and priced more reasonably than marinas.

Looks like Warrenton is about the closest station to Manassas.

How much do ya need and when do you need it by?

Kinda joking, but wouldn't it be funny to see some prohibition style runs with ethanol free gas being run from High Point Marina (LKA) to somewhere around Dulles Expo Center? Bo and Luke Duke style Cool

If I were headed your way in the next week, I'd bring you a gallon or two but I don't think I'll be out that way for some time. Good luck in your search.

Yup! Closest place listed there is Fredricksburg.

Need it to run some gasoline powered tools. Am borrowing my son-in-law's 4 foot Stihl chainsaw to cut down some BIG dead standing trees. According to what he says, that saw has to have ethanol free fuel or it goes out of warranty.

Couple gallons is all I need. He told his wife he is bringing some with him when he comes up tomorrow. Of course, that info got to me after I posted here.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!!!

In my neck of the woods, Shell's mid-grade is ethanol-free, but you wouldn't know it except for the handwritten paper signs taped on the pump or store window.

I don't know about VA. But around here you can get VP small engine fuel, and/or ethanol free TrueFuel gallons at every small engine store, lowes, hd, Walmart, etc. You can also order it online.

Yeah, same here. We have a new one opening here in a few days. I will check there, just to see if they might actually have it.
