IAC and Expedia

Surely she's very qualified... she once booked her own flight, and her mother asked her to wipe her computer, "Like, you mean, with a cloth?"

Chelsea Clinton was named to the board of Expedia — you know, because all of her experience in the technology and cybersecurity field.

In her newly named position, Mrs. Clinton will get $45,000 a year in cash, plus $250,000 a year in stock vesting over three years. What Mrs. Clinton’s responsibilities will be at the online travel-booking company is unclear — the company’s financial filings don’t detail.

Expedia’s chairman, billionaire Barry Diller, is a longtime Clinton ally and prolific fundraiser for the political family. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Mr. Diller and his wife Diane von Furstenberg hosted a “Conversation and Dinner with Hillary Clinton,” with tickets priced at $100,000 per couple.

Mr. Diller has collected 54 percent of Expedia’s voting shares, so he’s single-handedly able to alter its board from 13 to 14 people to accommodate the younger Clinton. And he’s done it before.

Mr. Diller is also chairman of IAC Interactive, and invited Chelsea to sit on its board four years ago.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Ted Koppol-- I think on 60 Minutes-- said that Sean Hannity is "bad for America." The reason is that Hannity attracts people who value "ideology rather than facts."

It is such a jaw-dropper of hypocrisy-- delivered as if Koppol is the Pope excommunicating a blasphemer-- that I won't even dignify it with a reasoned response. Go fuck yourself, Ted, you old fart Democrat hack.

(And I'm not even a Hannity fan.) Here is Hannity talking about what transpired.

Maybe she was thinking the image of Abe representing the party was a photoshop, not believing that the Republicans actually came up with that cool logo? ? . . . As in, they had a bland logo of just words or something, and somebody on Reddit came up with the Abe/hat logo.

She can't be THAT stupid as to think a photo of Abe in any kind of ball cap could be authentic.

Of course, she's pond scum, so I think it's hilarious that she's getting trashed on over the tweet (which really DOES make her look stupid either way). Cool

It was somewhat reassuring to hear cuckservative extraordinaire Lindsey Gramcracker on Fox today say that he would do what needed to be done to confirm Neil Gorsuch.

I suspect she was wondering why a Democrat was being used to support a Republican event.

At least he's doing that, but he's also out there doing this:

Grahamnesty is a scumbag. Can't believe a state like South Carolina keeps sending him back to represent them.

not sure what is going on w Nunes now

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/...gence-closed-session

FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Mike Rodgers will no longer attend a closed session of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the committee confirmed to TPM Monday.

In a news conference last week, in which he claimed based on still-unknown sources that information on Trump affiliates may have been incidentally collected by U.S. intelligence agencies, committee Chair Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced that Comey and Rodgers would address a closed session of the committee.

He also canceled an open hearing of that committee with former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, which would have taken place the same day.

“Director Comey and Adm. Rogers could not come in tomorrow as we’d hoped, so the Committee will continue to try to schedule a time when they can meet with us in closed session,” Jack Langer, the committee’s director of communication

The GOPe is in complete control there. Way too much money supporting him and his totally idiotic ideas and conduct.

She's obviously hoping that the actual event's program doesn't have a picture of Abe Lincoln wearing a MAGA hat on it. She's hoping that the program was taken and a hat was photoshopped onto it as opposed to the program actually being printed that way.

I'm starting to believe that Nunes has something that will make Watergate, Iran-Contra and the stained blue dress / vest right wing conspiracy, seem like child's play. Nunes at his news briefing before heading to the WH with the new information he received, seemed a bit shaken.

I suspect Nunes went straight to the WH because right now, it is probably the only safe place in the swamp. The 'informant' / 'Whistle blower' seems to think so.

Those summoned to the cancelled session, may need to bring their lawyers, to invoke the 5th amendment, during the Q&A session.

And let's not forget, that establishment Republicans are as dangerous as the Democrats. McCain and Graham fall in to the establishment group.

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.
