I purchased a small burl box for my wife from the same vendor and was very pleased with the work. The box was nicer than what could be found in a store and of considerably better quality.

Very nice!

Although I don't see any animals in the wood to speak of.

I do see the fish and the alien, but should they be holding each other like that? I mean it's almost pornographic.

Especially with the dogs watching in the background.

Beautiful work.

Wish I had a chunk of that buckeye burl to turn into a nice box, or bowl on my lathe.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." That's some nice work there. Really love the grain on a nice piece of burl, and those surely qualify.

Very nice! I used Thuya burl and Amboyna burl in some of the pool cues I made. The finish really brings the burl out.
