Well after a great weekend at the WI SigForum shoot there is one more thing to do on the weekend. Catch a live show of a great band, U2. Great show, good weather and Lou Malnati's deep dish!

Here is One Tree Hill and I apologize for the crappy video.

Oops, mods can you move to the Lair?

I've seen them twice, both shows were great. The first time I saw them was at a college stadium in Columbia, SC. They're weren't that many people there but it was a really good show. They did several covers of songs that I've never heard them do before or since.

I saw them in 1987 in Philadelphia during their original Joshua Tree tour. They were amazing. It's hard to believe that was 30 years ago.

I also saw the original Joshua tree tour in 1987 at RFK in DC. I was a freshman in high school. I have tickets to see them two weeks from tomorrow at FedEx with my wife and two oldest sons

In between I've seen them 5 other times, in both indoor and outdoor arenas.

I can't wait.

Just saw them in Dallas. It was my eighth time, starting with the 87 Joshua Tree show in Ft. Worth (BB King opened). If you squint real hard and have a lot of imagination, you can see a 17 year old me in the crowd in the Rattle and Hum movie.

we saw them once, for about 30 minutes,
we were camping in Joshua tree nat. monument and about 11:30 a.m.
we saw a v.w. bus off roading , then it stopped and a bunch of guys acting like Jack Asses , frolicked about for a while, then they went over to some boulders and frolicked, all while some guy with a camera took pictures of the guys.

two weeks later we heard about the band.

then not too long after that a few months maybe ?

the album came out and we looked at each other Eek

^^So you were there when they took the album photos for their Joshua Tree album? Wow.

Evidently the tree from the photos died in 2000.

^^^^ that's cool (not the tree dying).

Say the Joshua Tree tour and the Zoo TV tour and going next month to see the new tour. I'm pretty excited to see them again but I messed up.

We booked a room downtown but recently realized I booked the wrong night. Booked Sunday night instead of Saturday night and now all the downtown hotels are sold out. Mad

Haven't told mama yet.....

Seen them a few times over the years. At the Redskins stadium had ticket pretty high up. Show was OK maybe it was where we where sitting and the sound quality.

Saw thing in Philly one year. We had gotten into the event and where getting some bears before heading to our seats. Started talking to a lady in line with us. She had floor seat but didn't want to stand the entire show. Ended up trading our tickets for hers. I was a little leary but we had all already gotten through the gates and I'm pretty good at reading people.

Turned out to be one of the best shows I've seen. On the grass of the stadium standing. Everyone standing enjoying the show. Amazing vib down there close to the stage.

I hear ya, but if I boycotted every singer and actor based on their politics, I'd be stuck watching reruns of Magnum PI and listening to Wango Tango over and over again.

Hey Magnum, Tom Selleck has a good show on these days. Check out Blue Bloods.

I went to the show for the artist and not the political message.
