HMFlaw in Denver handled Kobe’s rape trial. They’re probably too expensive and not so interested in your smaller scale issue but they might be able to point you to somebody in the Springs.

Follow the other advice above, it’s gold. Stay off the social media. Check back in from the other side of this. Good luck.

Men going their own way. Prefontaine started a thread on this topic. Essentially backlash against METOO movement. Quite lively thread at times.

I can't help with the name of a lawyer, but should you need a mental health professional, I know THE guy you should see. He is located halfway between Denver and the Springs.

If you want his contact information, shoot me an email.

Do exactly what Benny6 says. That’s the best advice you could get. I’ve had friends that didn’t listen to similar advice and it never ends well. She has already crossed the red line with you, it’s not a matter of if she does it again it’s when. And you’ll wish you listened.
Don’t just walk away, run.

Another thing to be aware of is taunting. She may taunt you or use others to taunt you into being aggressive or violent.

They want to divert people's attention away from their own craziness by making you crazy and making you lose control. As soon as you lose control, she will shift the focus on you and she can say "See! He's a violent, out of control man! Someone save me from this lunatic!" All the while, diverting people away from their own personal mental illness and delusion.

No matter what, do not lose control. As soon as you lose control or show any emotion or anger, she has you right where she wants you. She will have provoked a response. She will have proved to herself that she is still relevant in your life and that she has the power to make you happy or sad. She may not be able to control herself, but maybe she can have some control over you. You must deny her this in spades.

Never let this woman see any emotion on your face. Never let her see you sad or broken, even if that's how you feel. Mentally prepare yourself that if she says the most offensive thing that a human could possibly say that deserves punishment of death, you will not have any reaction to it. The words are coming from a deranged sick person and you must not fall for the trap.

The more you remain silent and unresponsive to her taunts, the angrier she will get. You will be winning.

Tony.

Really sorry to hear you are going through this...I can only imagine the stress, anger, and sadness you must be going through.

I don't have any DV attorneys to recommend, but, if this incident should escalate into an ERPO/ Red Flag petition I'd suggest you contact these people.

Look at it this way, at least you figured this out before you got married. This honestly is kind of a blessing in disguise now matter how shitty of a time you’re having now, it woulda been worse if you married her

Unless she’s now your FORMER fiancé Sig2340 is right that you need a mental health professional.

Seriously though, I’d hold off on taking his advice until the current dilemma is settled so as not to risk complicating the situation regarding your access to firearms. It may not hurt to see one afterward however to explore your role and whether there are changes you need to make to avoid a repeat.

^^^^^^^^
Seeking help from a psychiatrist or psychologist should not complicate your access to firearams, unless you present as a danger to yourself or others.

Just as a side note, many agencies will not send an officer to do this. Mine will not. Too many times we went to houses for this, and the person we were escorting started running their mouth about how "the law is on my side".

The other side is "going to pick up some possessions" and the officer is out of service for four hours while the person messed around or debated over what property belonged to who.

And a third is we can't allow or condone anyone to break a protective order. There is no invisible force field around you when you break a protective order in the presence of LE.

Good luck my man.

This is very sad. This is why I despise the so-called Red Flag shit law. Crazy ass enemies can claim crap against you, and this is the result.

A lot of good advise here in this thread.

I wish someone had given me the info benny6 when the first Mrs Mike lost her shit.

Later when I was a cop, I used to do escorts for a party gathering their stuff.
I always told said party, “ don’t say a word, get your shit and get out- you and I both know she will try and get you to hit her in my presence. So don’t.” We gave them twenty minutes and if it didn’t happen in that timefrMe we told them to call back later.
