There was a barn find.

2010 Ducati 1198 S Corse.
All the bells and whistles, ABS, traction control.
It has after market exhaust, remapped ECU, and dynoed at 187 hp.
It weighs 417 lbs.

It only has 978 miles on the dial.

5000 out the door.

I named her Bella.

That thing does zero to a paid out life insurance policy in 3.2 seconds. Big Grin

I remember a number of years back talking to a Yamaha dealer while my Triumph was in for service next door. The conversation got around to insurance, and he said the first year was generally about $4000. Apparently at the time, the average lifespan of an R1 was 7 months.

Thanks Mike, email sent.

Otto, LOL, yeah I imagine.
Lets say I won't be testing top speed.

But 0-60 in 2 seconds?
Yeah, I might do that. In first gear!

You're going to be the exception to the lifespan rule, right? Smile

Beautiful bike!

I have plenty of track experience, and done my days as a hair on fire rider.
At 55, yeah I expect to just enjoy a Ferrari on 2 wheels.

Do NOT crank wide open the throttle with a fresh set of tires on that Ducati.

Unless, your life insurance is paid up and your beneficiary is aware of your plan.

My neighbor has a Duck. When he fires it up, you can hear it all over the area. Unmistakable motor sound.
