He was playing with wild Alaskan Brown Bears. And he had to roll the dice a lot of times before he sevened out. He seemed to have a pretty good relationship with a lot of them (until he ran into a old, sick, starving bear who wasn't playing.)

The bear in the article was domestically raised from a cub. That changes things. If you want to see how bears hand raised from cubs act, surf this channel:

Well there's also Doug Seus, owner/trainer of the famous Bart the Bear, Honey Bump and others. Takes a special kind of knowledge and person to raise these amazing animals.
