This editorial contains some interesting comments from a person who supports the Democratic party.

Why Pelosi should go — and take the ’60s generation with her

. . . Anyway, it’s not just that all these iconic Democrats are older; it’s that their vision for the party — with the possible exception of Biden, who’s pro-trade and pro-growth — is relentlessly backward-looking. They’re for government-run health care, expanding Social Security benefits (even for the wealthy) and free college for everyone. They’d pay for all of it with tax increases that magically cover the cost.

Basically, they want everything the ’60s generation always wanted, without any acknowledgment of what public money has failed to achieve . . .

No! We need her to continue to occupy the Democratic minority chair even if we must resort to subterfuge such as setting up a "Weekend at Nancy's."

I wasn't agreeing with the point of the article, but simply noting, with the quoted portion, the acknowledgment that we can't keep giving things away, and hoping for taxes to "magically cover the cost." Also, the acknowledgment of the failures of "public money."

Far too many, in both parties, fail to acknowledge that reality. So it's interesting to see it, and especially from someone who supports the Democratic party.

She is one of the reasons the dems do so poorly in the elections. She should stay. Smile

I did not think that your intent was to be supportive of Pelosi. My post should have reflected that fact. Thanks for posting the article.

Pelosi and other Democrats just like her did everything they could to get Trump elected. I say: Leave 'em be.

I found what you said riveting.

Give me an n - N, give me an a - A, give me another n - N, give me a c - C, give me a y - Y. What's that spell? Bat-Shit-Crazy! What's that spell? Bat-Shit-Crazy! What's that spell? Bat-Shit-Crazy!

And it's one, two, three, who are the dems voting for?
Don't ask me I don't give a damn,
Their next stop is another scam.
And it's five, six, seven, open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why,
Whoopie! Socialism always dies!

She makes the Republicans in Congress look good by comparison, and that's not easy.
On the other hand, if she goes, they might replace her with someone that is even farther to the left.

Editorials like the one the OP posted are not good for us.

When the Demonrats are shooting themselves in the foot we need to pass them more ammo (ie. 180 degrees the opposite of writing informative articles and threads about how they're shooting themselves in the foot) or convince them to aim at a more vital body part. When they try to crawl out of the pit they dug for themselves we need to convince them it's easier to dig deeper than crawl out. Plunging Pelosi can sink the Demonrats to further obscurity, and having that chronic loser at their helm is good for us.

That fact that she's a loopy whack-a-doodle with no concept of reality and creeping dementia isn't sufficient?

From the linked article: "If you don’t have a competitive governing vision, you don’t have much to complain about." True.

NP is looked on as a moderate by her constituents. Also, she provides us comic relief. I hope she stays until she is dragged off the stage with McCain.

Fixed it for you.
There's no question that as the Pelosi, Fienstein, Schumer, Biden, Conyers get closer croaking, waiting in the wings are more radical, far-left versions like: Stacy Adams, Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsome, Hakeem Jefferies,
