OK. Ok. Full stop. Full fucking stop. Now, I'm actually a pretty tolerant and open guy, and I don't mean it how leftists mean it. I mean I'm for individual rights, and the Constitution, and the government staying out of our lives. I have a few trans friends, among an assortment of weirdos. They are all adults. They made it through childhood, adolescence, puberty, and into the mature stage. Adults can be weird about who they are. Maybe you'll call it mental illness, whatever. As long as they aren't having sex with kids or murdering people, they can mind their business. BUT. A baby, or young child, needs foundational demonstrative behaviors to emulate. Pardon my ignorance, but isn't it a very short walk to question not only the gender, but also the species? I mean, if the parents can question something as obvious as gender, aren't they being presumptuous in even assuming the child is human? OH, they're teaching this child how society operates...their society. Once this kid gets into the world and has to interact with others, who don't share this idea of 'binary genders' like their parents do, they're going to have a very difficult time adjusting and coping. I saw on my FB feed, one of my angry militant lesbian friends who's an expectant mother, was putting out a question, Non-gendered versions of "Auntie" or "Uncle"? Honorifics for chosen family members that don't require the designation of Male or Female? Would love to hear from non-binary friends and folks with small children. Thanks! ...yeah  Poor kid will be f'ed once IT leaves the confines of it's parents. | |||
