The top echelons of DOJ, FBI, CIA and other agencies-- I am beginning to suspect-- are more concerned with working together for the mutual enhancement of their own careers, their own influence and power, their own wealth, than justice and truth.

We have elites who are a lot like the corrupt aristocracy of 18th Century France. They are the top of the food chain of the Swamp. Their loyalty is not to the country, not to the people, not to the Constitution, but to one another.

There's a reason > 90% of Southern MD and Northern VA's population are Democrats. They want big government for job security, they want Dem-only leadership to reduce disruption in their lives due to transitionary administration changes and they want to suck at the government "I can't be fired" tit for as long as possible. I firmly believe these motives, greed and the reduction in American hard-working values lie at the stem of what mbinky has been pointing out: there is no longer any accountability in government officials.

A bit of an exaggeration, but there is lots of truth to the statement. I'm one of the good guys behind enemy lines, thank God for the rest of the state.

There are a lot of really smart people in the area. The Dems are exposing themselves in the debates. They may be liberal around here, but they still care about themselves more than anything else. Self preservation will sink in I think/hope. They will realize (some percentage) that their own policies are going to fuck them over and head back towards center/normalcy.

I know a lot of members here are not terribly fond of him, but Frank Luntz was on Laura Ingraham tonight to talk about his impressions of the language and agenda being put forth in the two Dem debates, and its potential impact on the country. Here he is on CNBC essentially telling them the same thing. I must say, I think I agree with virtually everything Luntz said.

Obviously, the Democrat party has moved to the left. But I'm not so sure about the country. The Dems seem to be running against America.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I am pleased to announce that highly respected Congressman John Ratcliffe of Texas will be nominated by me to be the Director of National Intelligence. A former U.S. Attorney, John will lead and inspire greatness for the Country he loves. Dan Coats, the current Director, will....

....be leaving office on August 15th. I would like to thank Dan for his great service to our Country. The Acting Director will be named shortly.

William Barr as AG and John Ratcliffe as DNI. That is a powerful line up. Both men know the conspiracy to frame Trump.

Ratcliffe is now out. Well that sucks.

Based on what I'm seeing on social media and in conversations out and about "America" is looking at what is happening in Washington and these debates and thinking more "Wow, they really are pushing socialism, tax me to death, take my freedom, my guns, my healthcare and are giving it to people who aren't working or are here illegally..... "

I think America is being pushed right, and the more people realize that the Democrats want to rule everything the further right they'll go.

I think in a very general sense, America has moved much farther left over the last eight years. Look at the colleges and urban areas. Conservatism is all but extinct. But I accept that a 'majority' of the country (have no idea what that number is) could very well be pushed to the right as these lunatics continue their forays into insanity.

not getting a lot of attention, but McConnell has moved to keep the DEMs from delaying votes on judge appointments.

McConnell got 13 judicial appointees confirmed this past week.

https://hotair.com/archives/ka...picks-august-recess/

“For too long fairly uncontroversial judicial nominees just like these have been held up and delayed by our Democratic colleagues even when the vacancy qualifies as a judicial emergency.

Uncontroversial district judges used to be confirmed promptly in big groups by voice vote,” Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said from the Senate floor ahead of the votes on Wednesday.

Republicans have placed a premium on confirming Trump’s judicial picks, arguing that they are the best shot at having a long-term impact on the direction of the country. Republicans have confirmed more than 100 court picks for Trump since 2017, including two Supreme Court justices and a record number of appeals court judges.

From a reporter:

This week the Republican-led Senate confirmed 13 new federal judges, bringing Donald Trump’s total to 144.

— 99 district judges
— 43 circuit judges
— 2 Supreme Court justices

An extraordinary pace.

All lifetime appointments, nearly all of them are in their 30s, 40s or 50s.

Use DuckDuckGo instead of google.

“A former Google engineer who was fired from the company more than a year ago says he believes the search engine giant is working to prevent Donald Trump from winning re-election.

Software engineer Kevin Cernekee, 41, who left Google in June of 2018, said he thinks his former employer's progressive workforce has plans to manipulate help tip the scales against Trump in the 2020 race.

'I think that's a major threat,' Cernekee told Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight show.

'They have openly stated that they think 2016 was a mistake. They thought Trump should have lost in 2016. They really want Trump to lose in 2020. That's their agenda.' …”

Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others are wielding way too much power over the public. They have virtual monopolies in their respective areas of service and are manipulating their users to extreme.

A day of reckoning needs to come to them. It seems some work is being done to do it, but it is long overdue and this needs to get fixed SOON.

A precedent is being set that corporations have the right to control "their space". This is resulting in insult to our First Amendment rights, and proliferation of political suppression.

Everything is Trump's fault; just like everything is racist now. After a while it looses its "shock value" and just becomes so much noise that is ignored.
