Sounds good, I just finished a bottle of the regular Woodford Reserve.

Right now I'm sipping a hard cider I just made. Generic apple juice and Nottingham ale yeast. Nothing fancy but it's easy and as good as the commercial ones.

Finally found me a bottle of Blanton's. Had to import it from New Jersey however since I just can't seem to find it in Utah.

Anyway, pretty good.

I chanced upon 1792 BiB, bought but not yet tasted. Tonight I am swigging Dickel BiB, Bushmill Black, and Kilbeggan Small Batch Rye. The Dickel did not make a good first impression-tasted kind of like dill and old fennel-but after diffusing a bit its hitting a bourbon profile, and a more than hint of bacon. The Kilbeggan started out like a lowland scotch but its mellowing like an irish.

The first bottled in bond in Iowa since prohibition. Really great for how small of an operation Cedar Ridge is, highly recommend everyone to give them a chance.

Good stuff. I’m going to try the Red Spot tonight. I’ve been through the 12, 15 and 21 year Redbreasts, Green and Yellow Spots, and some Powers I don’t see in the US.

But the bar here in Ashford Castle (near Cong, which is where The Quiet Man was filmed) has every Irish whiskey there is - our last night here, so might as well step up.

Shaken and sprinkled a dash of nutmeg when poured.
