I have studied the right to keep and bear arms for years. I've challenged my supposed representatives to debate the issue, and I've asked for assistance from groups calling themselves pro-2nd.
With the exception of a few constitutional scholars, I've found few who know anything about the 2nd, and when they are educated on the subject, they close their eyes, cover their ears, and shut their mouths.
The 2nd is not just a right, but a duty, and that's when the majority turn away. Duty is for the other guy. The fool who goes and gets himself shot up, or blown up. For the guys who run into a burning building to rescue someone they've never seen before, or sits in his patrol car and is assassinated by some nut.
To put things into perspective, since 9/11 there have been only TWO MILLION people who've served in the armed forces.
We are a nation drugged and divided, and because of lack of education on the founding of this nation, and the laws as they were originally written, we will not do what it takes "to execute the Laws of the Union", and stop our country from being torn apart.
Some truth on why we have a 2nd, and why it must be used in full force.

The links you posted are well worth reading. Sometimes harsh, but nevertheless worth the time to read.

Thank you.

Shootist,

Thanks for the links! Very eye opening, once real numbers are added to events.

Today, 'feelings' about every subject imaginable have become paramount to facts. Last week there was a college survey that said up to 45% of college aged students would prefer socialism/communism to capitalism...

My phone is burning up from fellow church members with texts about the necessity of now planning for some type of real church security (I live in a KY town of about 1000, same size as Sutherland - but we actually have a stop light).

No longer can we believe in, nor rely on the fact that living in the 'middle of nowhere' protects us from unimaginable violence.

Bill

Yup. Not "Mass" shooting but...
For 2 years I have lived in a "town" of 500. There have been two home invasions here in two years that I can recall or heard about.

Within a 50 mile radius of my house there is on average at least one person shot every day.

A neighbor, referring to me carrying at home ask why? "because I can" and what I was afraid of? "nothing much, except maybe multiple attackers."

If it ain't woke... don't fix it.

Yes, I heard about the survey. Its a shame that the students who took it don't seem to know that we haven't had actual unencumbered capitalism in decades.

I would be very interested in knowing what plans your fellow church members come up with.

Thanks

Thank you!

More importantly, over ten years of studying the law, and in particular the aspects of the right to keep and bear arms, and why it is so important.

They're meant to be harsh.

The 2nd amendment has 27 words, the first 13 are a function and form of a free society wherein the People act as sovereigns, and maintain sovereignty over government.
Imagine if we had functional Militia that adhere to the state statutes. Able bodied men(and today women) would carry their weapons without restriction in order to be ready for such instances.
Would that prevent much of the crime, and in particular the corruption that is taking place?
How many so-called representatives would dare broach the subject of disarming the populace knowing full well that they'd be indicted by a grand jury actually controlled by the people?

Very good articles, thanks to the OP. My daughter attends a Christian School here in Fort Worth, this is her second year....being in first grade now. Y’all probably will not remember, but two years ago I posted about my concerns with the total lack of security there. I’m happy to say that the school is moving forward with new plans for improved security and I was asked to help give input, possibly be on a committee (for what little I can offer as paramedic.)

Please do.

I started my daily routine of looking for worthwhile news articles only to be greeted with nonsense about how congress has to have the courage to stand up to the gun lobby.

When do We the People garner the same courage that the Founders had, and take back this government that does not represent in any fashion what the Law of the Land dictates?

A. find people that give a shit
B. organize them to cover events.

in other words, secure and take care of the whole event prior to inviting people to it.

Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency.
