Perhaps because IMO, Biden will not go into a traditional "debate" with Trump. No way.

She will use American flags instead of paper towels if they are even allowed on the debate stage. The dims are probably arguing the imagery of the stars and stripes gives and unfair advantage to DT.

I have seen the videos; Joe would even fumble that. I doubt that we will see an honest debate with Joe, regardless of the details.

Tucker Carlson or Sean Hannity would have been fun. Big Grin

Seriously, I'm in the Slow Joe not showing up camp. There's no way his puppet masters will let him debate Trump. Political suicide at its best.

Yep, his masters will demand pre screening of questions, masks, no audience, bathroom breaks every 20 minutes, a teleprompter, etc. And Trump will tell them to fuck off and let the country know why there will be no debates.

There will be no debates between Trump and Biden, it's just not going to happen. He's too far gone mentally now and requires a teleprompter or notes for EVERYTHING.

Biden was extended the same invitation for a Townhall at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia like Trump did last night. Trump was interrogated and beat up by a hostile crowd of "undecided (ha) voters" for 90 minutes and held his own.

Biden would have been in totally friendly territory in Blue Philadelphia and would have been cooed over for 90 minutes.

Biden never even responded to the invitation.

- "Well, I dont trust Chris Wallace either. Everyone here knows his politics, and that is not a good thing to say for a serious journalist.

Bret Baer honestly should be the one moderating a debate. I really couldn't say with any certainty what his politics are.

~Alan "

This ^ Baer would have been the more impartial choice. And he would be capable of keeping the debate centered on policy. That pompous Wallace WILL interject himself. He has already demonstrated he is anti Trump.

I wonder who will leak questions to DNC this time?

Last time it was the scum at CNN
quote:
Donna Brazile is not apologizing for leaking CNN debate questions and topics to the Hillary Clinton campaign during the Democratic primary. Her only regret, it seems, is that she got caught.

“My conscience — as an activist, a strategist — is very clear,” the interim chair of the Democratic National Committee said Monday during a satellite radio interview with liberal activist and SiriusXM host Joe Madison. She added that “if I had to do it all over again, I would know a hell of a lot more about cybersecurity.”

In other words, Brazile would have made sure that her improper disclosures — which prompted CNN to drop her as an analyst — would not show up in hacked emails published by WikiLeaks. The lesson, apparently, is to pick up the phone or perhaps meet John Podesta in a dark alleyway.

What I expect is that Fox will do a decent debate, but of course mainstream media's post-debate 'fact checking' will only focus on Trump, and give Biden a complete pass. I do not expect much from the latter two debates, given who's hosting those.

That said, I halfway expect that if, as expected, Trump wipes the floor with Droolin' Joe, that the Biden team will find excuses to cut their losses and not participate in the last two, making the non-impartiality of the host organizations moot.

Oh contraire, he has everything to lose. Almost everyone except the corrupt media are questioning his mental condition. If he ducks Trump, he virtually confirms that contention, and voters walk away from him in droves. Short story, he ducks the deabets and he guarantees he loses in a landslide. At this point, I;m not sure that he doesn't lose in a landslide no matter what he does.

It's disappointing to watch him belabor repeated attacks on the perfectly good response already given. As far as I could tell (maybe I'm opinionated myself) Wallace was asking the same 3 questions 5 different ways, and all but denouncing POTUS for giving a response the interviewer didn't want to hear.

I watched that interview too, it royally pissed me off. I didn't know Wallace was that bad a character. The disrespect and blatant idiocy was palpable.

That's a conspiracy theory I have NO trouble imaging could happen. If it was their best option I would expect it, but naturally they would announce it last minute to fein great effort to make it happen in spite of his fake illness. And the press would think that would be so great, that he made such a herculean effort to show in spite of his fake illness. And THEN they could keep him in his basement even longer.

I think if Bidens camp felt he was in control, he would not debate. I think its close enough that they know if he did not debate he would be conceding the "Biden is a diaper wetting imbicile" theory that seems apparent.

The question isn’t Biden’s mental state, it’s how stupid his handlers are. They’re pretty damn dumb but from the sound of things the gang around him are extremely paranoid. If he wakes up the day of or the morning before with a little more drool, I see them using a COVID-19 diagnosis as a means of avoiding the Trump Train. So the odds I’d give at the moment are 60/40 that Ol’ Joe makes the debate.

Do you know how many times this prediction has been made? Do you have any idea how very obvious such a ploy would be, after it has been predicted so many times that this is what will happen?

I have an idea- let's wait 11 days and then we'll know. Until then, I would sincerely appreciate it if you guys would have mercy and cease suggesting the same thing over and over. It's beyond old at this point.

dwood4, IMHO you've read Wallace perfectly.

The rough outline of the other two debates should be pretty easy to forecast given the way the last few series of Presidential debates have gone. If the Dem (Biden in this case) is making points, the moderators will let Biden talk on and not challenge a thing he says afterwards. Trump, on the other hand will find himself debating the moderators at least as often as he is debating Biden, being interrupted or "corrected" constantly (and generally when he's hammering a point home), and being undercut by questions directed to Biden.

Will Wallace do the same? I think the answer is yes, although I'm not sure that political sympathies will have anything to do with it. The simple fact is that if Biden is in Deep Drool Mode then Wallace will have to gin up excitement by debating Trump himself or the audience (and, shortly thereafter, the advertisers) will absolutely howl about how boring and pointless the FOX debate was. It's not like Wallace will see any payoff to being tough on Biden. That would be described by others in the media as a hatchet job or ambush whether it is or not, and Wallace wants to be admired by everyone else in the media.
