It's funny though, I think back to when I was a kid using dad's tools. My brothers and I never really understood why he'd get so pissed off and smack us around when his tools weren't where they were supposed to be. Now we get it.

Years ago for Fathers Day I took all my dad's mix matched ,partial sockets and wrenches to Restore ,sold them and went to Sears and bought the largest portable, matching set, then added pliers, wrenches ,etc. He was able to store all the pieces in the plastic blow molded case and that set went from the van to the boat to Florida and back to Michigan. It was a great investment for me to see him have whatever he needed, organized and accessible quickly. I did have to paint THIS SIDE UP after a lesson or two.

Ha Ha..last week at a very deep diggable sale I scoured the garage a few hours after the sale opened and the dust /line had cleared a bit. Found a,nearly complete, metric Proto socket set 1 piece at a time. When I got home and sorted my treasures missing 10mm and 13mm Frown So any sale from now until eternity I'll be looking to fill those two voids.

if you just have 2 wrenches to replace and if you have the time, stop at a pawn shop. Make sure you know what the price should be and be ready to dicker - I've found pawn shops often as crazy dollars but might back off if you make a reasonable offer.
