Apparently David Lee Roth is performing in Vegas. This is just sad. How do you tell an aged rocker it's time to hang it up?

I was a huge Van Halen fan in high school...

Oh GAWD!! Eek I lasted a total of 4 seconds and had to shut it off. Yes, David...time to thank the good Lord for all those great years and bow out gracefully.

That's awful.

Can't imagine paying to see that. I only lasted a few seconds watching from my computer.

Wow! That's pretty bad!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The sad thing is that it doesn't have to be like that. Genetics play a role in aging, but so does lifestyle. It is possible for singers, even at 70, to be able to perform well.

I remember listening to the late 50s/early 60s rocker "Dion" being interviewed on Sirius radio back in 2008. He had just released a new album at age 69-70 and they played some of his new songs. I was blown away at his voice. The power, range and quality was every bit as good, maybe better, than it was in his youth. He obviously trained not only his voice, but his core as well. It was inspirational.

Well, you see, the thing about Sammy Hagar is that he actually could sing.

ETA: I finally watched the video in the OP. Haha, come on, guys...that was freakin' hilarious.
