Wheels point toward the ground.

Have fun!

Be prepared for the sense of bouncing up and down etc.

You'll be missed ...

Don't crash.

If you have to crash, fly the plane all the way through the crash.

If you take a camera, make sure it is secured before doing aerobatics (I kileld the viewfinder on a Nikon F3 forgetting that one).

Enjoy the flight. Ask lots of questions before takeoff. At certain times, takeoff, etc. don't talk or ask questions. Watch for traffic. If time permits, follow the pilot during the pre-flight and ask lots of questions. If possible use a headset, they make communicating much easier. Make sure to keep your feet off the rudder peddles unless you are flying. I've be flying since 1983 and love to take up anyone that wants to go enjoy the sites!!

Long pants. Preferably khakis and a polo. Don't wear a hat. Don't wear polarized sunglasses. Don't eat before because that'll give your stomach ammo to use against you in the plane. Big Grin

If it's rough, just get something light.
If it's smooth as glass, have a burger.
I like to take a COLD bottle of water with me.
If I start feeling queasy, I drink cold water.

To this day I still can get airsick if it's really rough.

Oh, it's just like riding in a car.
A car that will do something when you hit 60MPH and pull back on the wheel.
I always let my passengers fly the plane a little when we're up.
Remember, little corrections on the wheel It doesn't take much to coax it around.
No death grip is necessary on the controls.
Fly with your fingertips.

Detroit192 was really surprised at how little input was needed to coax the Beech around.

If you are in the "co pilots seat", you will be next to the door. Don't worry, there is constant wind noise there. Piper never could make a real tight fitting door.

AND DON'T TOUCH THE BIG METAL BAR BETWEEN THE SEATS!

You mean "the emergency brake"? Big Grin

Shortly after I got the Beech, I was gonna fly my wife and I over for a burger.
Well to get out of the airstrip, I need 15 degrees of flaps.
So I pull the Johnny bar to the first notch and shove the throttle to the firewall.
So we're climbing over the trees through the valley and I feel this taping on my shoulder.
I look over and my wife has both hands on the bar and tells me "you left the brake on!" Big Grin
Yeah go ahead honey, press that button and hang on...

She had never flown with me in a plane with manual flaps.
Always electric or hydraulic.
