These give one a metric shit ton of butt hurt.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"Everybody makes mistakes" -- usually quoted by the biggest f***ups I know

Another vote for--"it's all good".

"If you gotta ask you can't afford it"

"What ever."

"I've got a challenge for you."-- translates to "I have a shit job for you"

At the end of the day.

If you will. (WTF is that supposed to mean?)

As it were. (Again, wtf is that supposed to mean?)

Trigger.

Micro or macro aggression.

Network.

Touch base.

Reach out.

"For the money...", everyone doing reviews manages to squeeze this in there when talking about any item crossing their camera lense. Either it is a good value or not, price does not reflect this. Say a Hi-Point for $900 not a good value, Glock for $350 good value.

Hate it. Used by quitters

I don't like it either but I have heard that from some of the richest people I know, when they are quitting a bad business decision. They know how to move on. "it is what it is, so F it"... Next?

Successful businessmen know when to quit an idea that is not working, and to move on. Jeff Bezos is a good example of this. He tries many ideas and the ones that do not work, he quits.

Muscle Memory

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

NO!

Muscles have no memory in technical skills that requires either conscious or subconscious input. It is a conscious or subconscious conditioned response. But, you hear people constantly claiming in the shooting world about creating "muscle memory". Muscles have no memory when it comes to shooting. You create a subconscious conditioned response.

Slow can be smooth, but it is still slow. Fast is fast. Smooth can be fast, but it still has to be fast.

One I like, because I don't hear it too often is "It doesn't take a rocket surgeon". Used correctly, the listener has to catch it, think about it and then realize it is some kind of contraction of "rocket scientist" and maybe "brain surgeon". Some less careful listeners miss it entirely.

Subtle humor can be a fun test.
