So black smoke from a helicopter, would that tend to be a hydraulic line that burst and caught fire, or an engine problem? That is a dangerous job riding one of those every day. -c1steve | |||

It's a dual engine aircraft so an engine failure is unlikely to crash it. Hydraulic failure seems likely but we won't know for over a year. I make my living doing that work so this hits home.
