I wonder if ex-Congresscritter Joseph Crowley (the schmuck who lost to Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez) sits in his Manhattan apartment at night drthinking about how his inattention to his primary race cost him personally and the Democratic party politically.

My mental image is of an intoxicated, unshaven, unbathed man dressed in a dirty wife beater, stained boxers, and a robe, sitting in the gray light of dawn, mumbling to himself "That should a been me! I could come up with stupid, shitty ideas too."

I think it was 18,000 votes that got AOC into Congress, and forced 330 million people to listen to her crazed socialist ideology

The tack we must start taking is to stop isolating the little brat with her obvious stupidity, ignorance, and outright naivety.

Start referring to every single idea she puts forth as belonging to the democrats. The democrats believe that the US is native soil to Latinos. The democrats want to do away with nuclear and fossil fuel usage without a viable replacement. The democrats want to openly finance people that are unwilling to work. They will try to put this vapid creature out to pasture and create all the strife you could want within the party.

That may not be necessary. The top democratic hopefuls have already endorsed this crazy bill. That will follow them around forever.

AOC is forcing other dems to have to answer questions about socialism - the results are hilarious and enlightening.

Nice try senator, you might want to go back to school and take an economics class or three.

Reality of socialism right here:

^^^ Let New York go first....

Here's my modest proposal: Trump and Congressional Republicans should pass an law that allows -- or even requires -- a state to act as the Laboratory for testing AOC's ideas. I nominate the state of New York, because it's very liberal, claims to be very, very concerned with the environment, and it foisted this borderline-retard on us.

New York, then, will be required to do all the things that AOC demands of it -- we can suspend the ordinary constitutional protections against state coercion for these purposes; I mean, this is such an important cause, should a very old piece of paper written by dead white men stand in the way of progress? -- and we allow (or require) New York to ban cars, airplane travel, and cows (and all other ruminant sources of meat).

Hell, let's just do what she so clearly wants us to do and declare her Political Messiah.

Then we build some big beautiful walls around New York, Snake Plissken style, and we check back in ten fucking years and ask whatever survivors are still remaining what they think of Breakfast Club Evita.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I have to admit, this broad is beginning to wear very thin on me. In the beginning I found her somewhat amusing, but she is now quickly approacing a level I can only describe as intolerable. Her statement above is just so removed from reality that I find it difficult to believe that she's not just trolling us. Of course I know better. She's in actuality just a simpleton.

It’s not just her that’s the problem! Did you watch all the bobble heads standing behind her? They all were nodding yes in step they all support this insanity. The socialists have been working a long time to get their tenicles deeply entrenched into all aspects of our society and they are successful!!

The group standing behind her along with her were all wearing round lapel pins I would be interested in learning what they stand for. No American Flags observed.

It's been a long time since I worked on the Hill, but you have to keep in mind that House and Senate members have staffs that write just about everything for them. AOC is obviously too dumb and too busy to have been able to write up her Green New Deal herself. That means she has a few staffers who wrote it for her, reviewed it a few times, probably discussed it with AOC, did some more editing and then released it. A lot of Hill staffers, no matter their politics, are pretty sharp. The competition up there has Ivy Leaguers working in mail rooms for the opportunity to network and rub elbows with bigger folks. I highly doubt AOC has fresh college grads working for her. I need to do some LinkedIn searching and see where her staffers came from.

Absolute insanity. In less than a month, she’s already one of the first Democrats the media runs to for comment—unless...it’s something like the mess in Virginia.

Again, if only we had free press in our country. Some reporter that would have the audacity to say, “What in the actual fuck, Congressman?!?”

She is in actuality just a simpleton... but she's also a useful idiot. She's successfully "moving the conversation" rapidly to the left. That's what they want.
Then... someone like Kamala-toe Harris can seem "reasonable" by comparison to Occasional Cortex.
