Not a good idea with scavengers.

For discreet purposes, I'd think any 9mm or larger handgun that you can carry concealed would do the trick. G19, G23, G32, G30SF, any of the above would do for me. I wouldn't worry about capacity too much, most 'yotes I've dealt with are stealth-hunters and cowards - the first shot is likely to scatter the pack like a covey of quail. If you can get a "double" you'd have to be right on the money with some fast shooting...

Kevin

+1. Unless they are zombie coyotes, and then follow Ving's advice.

Pu that photo out in the back 40 and you'll scare all the coyotes away.

I`d set off a couple of packs of Black Cat firecrackers. The coyotes would think I had an army backing me up.

Zombie Wile E. Coyote or a pack of Wile E. Coyote’s I would want my P226 with all mag, starting with the 20rd mag.
I see Wile E. Coyote all the time in AZ. They are always looking down. So at night time I would try my laser first. They might actually chase the laser light while I guide them away with the laser.
Most I've ever counted at one time buy an area in East Mesa were we board our horse was 15 Wile E. Coyote’s

One or two shots and they should scat. Zombie Wile E. Coyote start shooting.

that is funny stuff I had a run in with three dogs walking the other day and one came at me I will not reveal its breed as it will start the dog wars part 999999 but I had my G22 and two 15 rounders on me and really really wished I had had a scatter gun. I would say g22 few spare mags and some 180 gold dots or such
