PAYPAL is enroute!

Thanks for posting this over at the S&W Forum. I had not noticed it here. Steve is a great guy I have done business with - not a nicer guy on the forum!

PayPal sent. Last year I had to cancel a pistol order with Steve because of a sudden illness and extended hospital stay. Steve was very understanding and was more concerned with my health than the loss of a sale. Steve, I wish you all the best!

PayPal funds sent. I'm glad to help those who need it and support our rights to keep and bear arms.

Best of luck to you, Steve. Hope everything works out for you.

The time may come when we need to remember, and repay, this kindness for someone over there.

I've browsed over there a few times. I'd say they're a pretty good group of guys and gals. When they hop on to help someone here, they can be assured we're going to keep their backs as well.

Thanks for involving them Para. This can only improve the level of assistance for Steve.

ROTNDAD & THE FORUM

In reply to Para's post on Smith-Wesson Forum, CJofWolfcreek has what I believe is a good point. Those of you better versed in Pay Pal's operation have more experience than me - so I thought this worth posting for consideration:

CJofWolfcreek posts:

(Quote): "Para, I didn't read through all 14 pages of replies and am not a member there so if it hasn't been mentioned, tell him NOT to open or use a paypal account for this raffle."

"The prizes are a violation of their terms of agreement and could lead to the funds in his account being frozen if Paypal finds out. This won't be good for Rotndad or Steve." (End Quote)

To confirm the post by CJofWolfcreek's see:

I've not used PayPal to pay for 'firearms', but have for 'accessories / parts'. Could this be a potential issue? Thought it worth bringing up since in reading the PayPal 'rules /policy', it looks to me as if they can pretty much freeze funds at will.

That aside, my pension funds hit today and my 'contribution' will be on it's way. I'm avoiding Pay Pal for personal reasons.

Prayers for Steve and family have been sent since his health issues became known.

I don't think this CONTRIBUTION would violate any of Paypal's policy's, I could be wrong about it. But the "payment" to Rotndad's account is a donation to this cause more than it is for prizes in return. I'd think we can get around that little issue. Of course, you never know what the Paypal people will say.
