Been watching a lot of Trump rallies of late. Got that song stuck in my head.

"And I'm proud to be an Amurrican.
Y'know we should charge a fee..."

Me, too.

Figure it is because we now have so much to be proud about.

Well, I'm a Texan, of sorts. My very first memories on this planet are of Texas. Twice in my life, I have lived in Texas. I'm a Texan and I'll fight any man who tells me that I'm not.

And everyone is talking about what they'd do with millions from the lottery. One thing I'd do is buy a huge spread in the Piney Woods of East Texas, a place from my youth.

Here is another song you will like, by a former governor, Senator and the only man who ever beat LBJ in an election.

Brings a tear, don’t it?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

I watched the texas rally last night as well.
Some things he says are just priceless. No wonder the Dems hate him.

I helped with the Donald Trump Jr. get out the vote rally today in Ohio. DJT Jr. had Kimberly G. with him as usual. To see her on TV is a sight to behold, to see her in person is almost more than I could handle. She is built like a goddess.
It was packed. Bomb sniffing dogs, SS, and Sheriffs deputies all over the place, tight security, had to pre-register. We even turned away press who had not registered.

Texas, outside of Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, is a pretty special place. I was raised in North Mexico, the Lower Rio Grande valley 10 miles from the border. No problems back in those days.

We went to Cub Scouts, sang the "Yellow Rose of Texas" and "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You" at every meeting. Played cowboys, caught horny toads, and hunted for rattlers.

If I ever have the evacuate to Texas, I heading to the western part of the state.

Hence the polite admonition to never ask a man where he is from. If he is from Texas, he’ll tell you. If he isn’t, don’t embarrass him.
