While it's possible for public pressure to cause a corporation or business to decide to make some change desired by the public, I fail to see how a petition can force Netflix to cease offering this film. If public opinion and rumblings from congressmen would have such an effect, I think we would have already reached that point.

Also, there's no doubt that the outcry about this film has given it far more exposure than it would get otherwise, and the people who run Netflix are twisted enough to look at all of this as being to their advantage, at least in the short term.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Netflix has acquired new customers because of the controversy, just so they can see the writhing 11 year old kids.

The film has been on Netflix's Top 10 most viewed ranking since it premiered, so there's a case to be made for, "The only bad publicity is no publicity."

Kind of amazing when it's obvious without the salacious stuff, the film is a dime a dozen kids look to find themselves story that has been done a thousand times before. Surely there are good and bad examples of the genre but I doubt enlightenment is at the top of Netflix viewers' list. This film did not have to be made.

Many have likely seen the employee walkout over the Chappelle special.

IT'S A PUBLICITY STUNT. DON'T FALL FOR IT.

It's no different than the shock jocks of the 70's. Get the name in the news so people tune in "to get a first hand listen of what's going on."

Total publicity stunt.

They just increased their prices again.

The wife and I realized we really don’t use it all that much anymore, I canceled the subscription and deleted the channel from the Roku.

Anything we did watch is available elsewhere pretty much and they can keep all their woke bullshit.

Buh Bye

We don't subscribe. My wife preloads a gift card to purchase access to select series/movies - and that's it. Maybe $25 every 3-months.

Just guessing, as the Dempanic slides into it's next phase and people decide they are not going to be held captive anymore, these services that we've seen rocket in use will see drops in membership as people get back to living lives as normal.

For example Peloton has announced a major cut in production of their exercise equipment, as people get back to gyms, Netflix, Hulu etc will see declines too.

While this film is problematic, there are tons of decent good childrens entertainment out there on Netflix, Disney+ etc.

Would that be the price increase they announced back in December?

My wife and I find plenty of good content on NetFlix. E.g.: Ozark is dropping today.

I'd say we watch NetFlix and HBO Max about equally.

Thanks for passing this along Para. I had no idea.

I'd rather watch nothing at all than to support that sick agenda.

Good. The only thing these pukes understand is pain to their pocketbook.

As others have said, there are other sources of online content.

Canceling subscriptions will be way more effective than a petition.
