Anyone build their own arrows I am thinking of getting a jig and trying it out seems easy enough I go threw alot of Fletching in my build up to the season and shooting. I also wanted to play some with diff lengths of fletch and types and that. I want to start with some some Easton XX75's as thats what I have hunted with since I was 16

I have a jig that i use to fletch arrows. I've found that I go through a lot less fletching with a straight fletch instead of the twist. Plus I can use color combos to specify different weight arrows, length, etc. It's time consuming and sometimes tedious, but it's kind of like hand loading bows. Different combos will work best for you and your bow.

I've been building my own arrows for over 25 years. I use a Bitzenberger jig, fletch straight with a 3 degree offset. Right now I'm running 4" AAE Elite vanes on Carbon Express CX 200 shafts.

murray,
No offense, but shooting xx75s is like traveling in a horse drawn carriage. Check out carbon. Faster, more durable, and flatter shooting. You can still fletch and crest your own as long as you have to buy a jig anyway.

I guess you dont want to hear how I shoot a full sized Hoyt Bow with fingers and dont have an over draw. And worse yet shoot a full 31 inch 2315 arrow with a 125 grain non expanding brodhead on it. It may not be the fastest thing in the world but when I hit a deer at 25 yards with that flying tele pole its worked for me up till now. Thats why I was saying I am really just getting back into the bow hunting since some time off

I HIGHLY recommend the Arizona E-Z Fletcher. I've used all the others and settled on this one.
