Greetings, ladies and gentlemen of the forum. I've not been online to visit in quite some time and I'm sure most of you either don't know me or have forgotten me by now. I'll do my level best to not be such a stranger, and only maintain my normal level of strangeness. That, or I'll lurk quietly in the background with my popcorn and watch as life unfolds or unravels, whichever the case may be.

I must say however, that after checking in on a number of posts, it's nice to see that some things never change and it's good to be back.

Stand and be true.

May God stand between you and harm, in all the dark places you must walk.

Be careful with your words and deeds. When all is said and done, they can only be forgiven, not forgotten.

Welcome back! This is still a great forum- I genuinely learn something every time I'm here.

Yes, I remember this one. I checked on the status before I posted and am glad to see lbj is still on this side of the dirt. Thanks.

I remember you. Welcome back! I don't think you know me though but that's okay.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

All is good here, thanks. Bought a house almost 5 years ago, threw my son at the USAF and they threw him back (chest pains they couldn't figure out so they said it was anxiety. Funny thing is, he still gets them so i don't think anxiety is the issue there.).

Now he's finding his way, paying me rent, as well as having saved up the money to buy a car when he needed one and covering his own bills. He'll either get a better job or go to school when he gets uncomfortable enough doing what he's doing. Trying not to worry about him. He's only 21, but doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs, is respectful and doesn't complain about having to shovel the snow or do his own laundry. All in all, he's a good kid.

Plus, it's a pleasant surprise when you find out that the Karma Fairy dished out some payback to someone that deserved it. Wink

She missed the actual "gay cake" but she does remember the story, if that is the cake you are referring to.
