We could make this into a TV series.

Yeah, I know, too widely implausible a story line.

haven't had time to digest this yet.

But a report expanding on Jonathan Winer and Russian Deripaska

http://www.breitbart.com/big-g...-anti-trump-dossier/

Jonathan M. Winer, the Obama State Department official who acknowledged regularly interfacing and exchanging information with the author of the largely discredited 35-page anti-Trump dossier, signed disclosure forms for his former firm to represent a Russian billionaire known as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s favorite oligarch.

The detail, being brought to light herein, may raise immediate questions about the origins of the dossier. The oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, had a reported business dispute with former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, is closely tied to Putin and has long been viewed as pushing Russian national interests.

Already, there have been questions about Deripaska’s possible relationship with dossier author Christopher Steele amid reports that the billionaire may have served as a source for the dossier itself.

......

Saw this on Conservative Treehouse:

This is a statement that James Clapper made on 11 Jan 2017

Buzzfeed had just released the dossier (10 Jan 2017)

Note Clapper says the dossier was widely circulated for months before the intelligence community became aware of it.

What ??? The FBI started getting drops of the dossier 5 July 2016. The intelligence community wasn’t aware of that ? When the FBI thought this was from a trusted source ?

A foreign source.

Clapper also says the intelligence community hasn’t made any judgment on whether the dossier is reliable. But the FBI used the dossier to get a FISA warrant on Carter Page.

*****************

adding something diff to this post:

http://dailycaller.com/2018/03...golden-showers-tape/

Christopher Steele is not convinced that the most salacious claim in his infamous dossier is accurate.

Michael Isikoff and David Corn have written a book "Russain Roulette". In the book:

“Steele’s confidence in the sensational sex claim would fade over time,”

“As for the likelihood of the claim that prostitutes had urinated in Trump’s presence, Steele would say to colleagues, ‘It’s fifty-fifty,'”

Steele’s business partner, Christopher Burrows, immediately questioned Steele’s report, according to the book.

“Burrows feared Steele was sensationalizing his material,” the book reads, which reports that Burrows “later privately described the report as akin to preliminary intelligence reporting — information not analyzed, vetted, or ready for distribution.”

Glenn Simpson, the founder of Fusion GPS, the firm that hired Steele, also questioned Steele’s shocking report. The book reveals that Steele told Simpson the identity of the primary source for the “golden showers” allegation: a Belarus-American businessman named Sergei Millian who has claimed to have partnered with Trump’s real estate firm in the past

from the book:

The memo had described Millian as a Trump intimate, but there was no public evidence he was close to the mogul at that time or was in Moscow during the Miss Universe event. Had Millian made something up or repeated rumors he had heard from others to impress Steele’s collector? Simpson had his doubts. He considered Millian a big talker.

***************

so for an input "not ready for distribution" and 50-50, Steele had to run right to the FBI w a sensational story. Because he was such a strong supporter of a close British ally, and also one whom he wanted to get paid by.

another report from the new book:

https://www.washingtontimes.co...steele-fbi-alliance/

Mr. Steele, who was excited over his findings about Mr. Trump supposed dalliance with Russian prostitutes and purported collusion with the Kremlin, pressed his handler, Glenn Simpson, of Fusion GPS, to let him go to the FBI.

Mr. Simpson agreed. Mr. Steele telephoned Michael Gaeta , an FBI agent with whom he worked on soccer corruption who was then stationed at the U.S. embassy in Rome.

“I can’t discuss it over the phone. You have to come here. Believe me, Mike, you have to come to London,” Mr. Steele told him.

Says “Russian Roulette,” “There were a few hoops Gaeta had to jump through. He was assigned to the U.S. embassy in Rome. The FBI checked with Victoria Nuland’s office at the State Department: Do you support this meeting? Nuland, having found Steele’s reports on Ukraine to have been generally credible, gave the green light.”

“Within a few days, on July 5, Gaeta arrived and headed to Steele’s office near Victoria station. Steele handed him a copy of the report. Gaeta, a seasoned FBI agent, started to read. He turned white. For a while, Gaeta said nothing. Then he remarked, ‘I have to report this to headquarters.’”

Ms. Nuland’s name surfaced earlier this year as Senate investigators under SenateJudiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, Iowa Republican, turned up evidence that Mr. Steele met with another Obama State official, Jonathan Winer.

He worked as a middleman to bring Mr. Steele together with Sidney Blumenthal, a fierce Hillary Clinton defender. Mr. Winer spoke with Ms. Nuland, who gave a heads up to Secretary of State John Kerry.

At the time, Ms. Nuland, a career diplomat, was assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.

She is now chief executive at the Center for a New American Security.

************

this gets tricky. I don't trust Isikoff or Corn. They were the only two who published stories based on the dossier before the election. But given that they are naming names, if they are lying now there may be a chance to prove that.

Frankly, it is hard to believe this book wasn't coordinated w Glenn Simpson and Christopher Steele. It may be that the dossier is falling apart now and they are trying to make it less of a crash landing.

one more strange twist in the dossier story

Anthony Ferrante worked 12 years at the FBI. He became the Director for Cyber Incident Response at the U.S. National Security Council and Supervisory Special Agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation

He was the senior cybersecurity advisor to the Obama administration.

He had been tasked with organizing the Obama administration's strategy to combat Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Ferrante left the FBI in April 2017, shortly after President Trump took office.

Buzzfeed is getting sued by several people over the dossier that they released to the public in January 2017. Aleksej Gubarev and Michael Cohen are both separately suing Buzzfeed.

So what is Ferrante doing now ?

Anthony Ferrante, now a consultant for business advisory firm FTI, was hired by BuzzFeed to substantiate sections of the dossier, because “if it’s fact, it’s not libel,”

BuzzFeed's attorneys initially engaged FTI to confirm the segments of the document referring to Gubarev, including claims servers belonging to his company were used to hack the DNC, but the scope of the probe has since expanded, according to FP.

Ferrante reportedly recommended BuzzFeed's lawyers subpoena specific data and testimony from agencies and firms across the U.S. and has recruited a team dedicated to analyzing that information, sources told the magazine.

https://www.washingtonexaminer...port/article/2648911

********************

http://foreignpolicy.com/2018/...erify-trump-dossier/

For the last six months, a team led by a former top FBI and White House cybersecurity official has been traveling the globe on a secret mission to verify parts of the Trump dossier, according to four sources familiar with different aspects of the ongoing probe.

Their client: BuzzFeed, the news organization that first published the dossier on U.S. President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, which is now being sued over its explosive allegations.

The investigation, being conducted by FTI Consulting, is running in parallel to special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in Kremlin-directed efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.

FTI is a Washington-based business advisory firm that specializes in areas ranging from corporate litigation to forensic accounting, and it is a frequent post-government landing pad for FBI officials.

As a top FBI cybersecurity official tasked to the White House, Ferrante was in charge of coordinating the U.S. government response to Russian attempts to meddle in the 2016 presidential election, among other responsibilities. Prior to joining the NSC in 2015, Ferrante was chief of staff for the FBI’s cyber division at headquarters under then-Director James Comey. Ferrante, still working for the FBI but at the White House, stayed in his position as director for cyber incident response at the NSC through the Trump administration, until April 2017, when he left to join FTI.

At FTI, Ferrante launched what’s now been a months-long stealth effort chasing down documents and conducting interviews on the ground in various countries around the world.

Christopher Steele has several lawsuits to deal with.

The one that seems to be farthest along is the one by Alexsej Gubarev.

Steele must be kicking himself on this one. Gubarev is only mentioned in dossier report #17, written in December 2016 (after the election)

From that report:
Someone (name blanked out) said that from March to September 2016, a company called XBT/Webzilla had been transmitting viruses, planting bugs, stealing data, and conducting “altering operations” against the Democratic Party leadership. Aleksei Gubarov and Seva Kapsugovich were significant players.

Buzzfeed compounded their problem by not blacking out Gubarej’s name in the dossier version that they released to the public.

Gubarej is suing both Steele and Buzzfeed.

Gubarev’s lawyers tried to get Steele to give a deposition as far back as last August 2017 for the Florida lawsuit against Buzzfeed.

U.S. District Court Judge Ursula Ungaro issued a formal request for Steele's testimony. It was sent to the London court. Link:

http://www.politico.com/f/?id=...20-a1df-ce37d9510002

Steele and his lawyers have argued that a deposition would endanger the lives of the dossier sources.

In the latest moves, Gubarev’s lawyers said they won’t ask for the names of the sources in the deposition.

As JALLEN posted in the FISA thread, the London court has ordered that Steele does have to do a deposition for the Florida case. The deposition is expected in the next 4-6 weeks.

This is an article from Canada Free Press about the dossier. It goes a bit overboard on the comparison to "Sergeant Schultz", but it makes some good points no U.S. media bothers to think about

https://canadafreepress.com/ar...-didnt-know-anything

The Dossier Gang That Didn’t Know Anything

“I know nothing,” isn’t just the motto of Sergeant Schultz. It’s also the Clinton motto. And Christopher Steele, the Brit whom the Clinton campaign hired to find out things for them, also knows nothing.

Or at least that’s the theme of the sprawling New Yorker profile of Steele, his dossier and his associates.

Steele, Jane Mayer, its authoress, tells us, is a brilliant researcher and we should take his word about all his allegations involving President Trump. Even the ones that aren’t true and don’t make any sense.

Take the Cody Shearer memo, the document authored by a Clinton plumber and which Steele passed along to the FBI as confirmation of his claims. The existence of the Shearer memo raised serious questions about whether the Clintons weren’t just paying Steele to dig up dirt, but were providing it. Some have speculated that Shearer’s smears were the original basis for Steele’s dossier.

The New Yorker asks us to believe that their brilliant and trustworthy researcher passed along Shearer’s smears to the FBI without knowing who he was. ”Steele wasn’t aware that Shearer had longtime ties to the Clintons,” Mayer tells us, “as did Sidney Blumenthal, a Clinton ally, who had given Shearer’s report to Winer.”

How could Steele ever be expected to know anything about the men whose material he was passing on to the FBI? Assuming, quite improbably, that Steele didn’t recognize the name of a close adviser to a former Secretary of State who had recently been involved in a foreign policy scandal, it would have taken him all of 60 seconds on Google to discover who Shearer and Blumenthal were.

Steele’s Sergeant Schultz routine betrays incompetence or dishonesty.

Either Steele was so ridiculously incompetent that he sent intelligence materials to the FBI from random people whose names he never checked. Or he’s obscuring his connections to the Clintons the way that Clintonworld is obscuring its links to Steele and the dossier that it paid for, but knew nothing about.

Mayer’s New Yorker profile insists that, “Steele turned out to be a secret kept from the campaign”.

John Podesta, Hillary’s campaign chair, only found out about his own campaign’s opposition research, from the media. Robby Mook was just as clueless. Not only did Steele not know whose opposition research he was passing to the FBI, but the Clinton campaign didn’t know anything about its own opposition research.

But in that case, why was it paying for opposition research that it didn’t know anything about?

The only Clintonite who knew about it, according to Mayer, was Marc Elias and his knowledge was protected by attorney-client confidentiality. And even he didn’t know anything. When Podesta told Senate Intelligence staffers that he didn’t know anything about the dossier, Marc Elias was right there.

“Podesta and Mook have maintained that they had no idea a former foreign intelligence officer was on the Democrats’ payroll until the Mother Jones article appeared,” the New Yorker profile tells us.

Podesta met with Senate Intelligence Committee staff members on Nov 18, 2017. On Monday, he denied knowing who funded the dossier.

On Tuesday, the Washington Post conveniently reported that the Clinton campaign had funded the dossier. That was perfect timing. Podesta could claim to have found out about his own opposition research the day after he claimed not to have known about it. That’s some real collusion.

The Clinton campaign was also far too noble to actually use the “sex stuff” in the opposition research that it didn’t know about. According to Fusion GPS boss Glenn Simpson, “Sex stuff is kind of worthless in a campaign.” That’s the same campaign whose backers were offering Trump accusers up to $750K.

Simpson made that statement in congressional testimony

The Clinton campaign thought the sex stuff was worthless even as Clinton associates Cody Shearer and Sidney Blumenthal were using the State Department’s Jonathan Winer to pass a “sex stuff” memo to Steele, who then passed it to the FBI.

And Shearer and Blumenthal somehow came up with the same material as Steele, without ever having seen his dossier. But if they came up with it independently, why was the Clinton campaign paying all that money to a British former intelligence agent to produce it?

The Clinton campaign had no idea what Steele was doing. Steele had no idea what the Clinton campaign was doing. None of them knew anything even when they were very clearly coordinating.

“These encounters were surely sanctioned in some way by Fusion’s client, the Clinton campaign,” she mentions.

So the Clinton campaign “sanctioned” Steele’s briefings to the media in “late summer”, yet the Clinton campaign knew nothing about Steele or the meetings about his dossier that it was sanctioning.

Steele and Winer trade opposition research. Winer passes the Clinton opposition research that Steele gives him to State. And Steele passes the Clinton opposition research from Winer to the FBI.

Two versions of opposition research from the same source were being laundered through the government by two apparatchiks who traded the opposition research that they were laundering to muddy the trail.

Winer dragged in Victoria Nuland and then John Kerry. But they also knew nothing. “The State Department officials didn’t know who was funding Steele’s research, but they could see how politically explosive it was,” Mayer writes. It’s the fall of 2016. Who could they have thought was funding opposition research? Gary Johnson, Jill Stein or John Kasich? Winer was passing along material from Sidney Blumenthal, yet he had no clue which campaign Hillary’s “old friend” could be associated with?

“On my own, I shared a copy of these notes with Steele,” Winer writes of Shearer’s memo. And then Steele goes off, on his own, and sends the Shearer memo to the FBI. Steele independently contacts the FBI. Winer independently brings in the leadership of the State Department. They don’t know anything and they never coordinate with anyone. Including the people who are paying them.

These same ladies and gentlemen who want us to believe that they couldn’t tie their own shoes, but expect us to overturn the results of the previous election because while they don’t know a single thing that happens in their own campaigns and departments, they know everything that goes on in Moscow.

it is weird to be the only one posting, but things keep rolling in, so

http://thefederalist.com/2018/...-christopher-steele/

In a lengthy letter to the inspector general of the Department of Justice (DOJ), two key senators demanded answers on whether anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele was ever paid by the Russian government or other Russian sources. The letter from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asked Michael E. Horowitz, the DOJ inspector general, for answers to 31 sets of detailed questions related to DOJ’s handling of various Russia-related probes in 2016 and 2017.

“What connections are there between Mr. Steele and the Russian government or Russian intelligence community?” the senators asked. “Has Mr. Steele ever been paid directly or indirectly by the Russian government, Russian intelligence community, or other Russian sources?”

Concerns about Steele’s relationship to questionable Russian figures were initially raised after encrypted text messages between Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Adam Waldman, a registered foreign agent for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, were leaked to the media. In those texts, Waldman repeatedly tried to broker access between Steele and Warner, who serves as the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. It is unclear why a registered foreign agent for a Russian oligarch would be running interference on Steele’s behalf.

As The Federalist reported last month, during interactions between Warner and Waldman, which included encrypted messages, phone calls, and private, in-person meetings, Waldman offered Warner access not just to Steele but also Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks who has been holed up in Ecuador’s embassy in London since 2012 and whom Hillary Clinton described as “a tool of Russian intelligence.”

“Chris Steele asked me to call you,” Waldman wrote to Warner on March 16, 2017, sparking a conversation about how Warner could get access to Steele, a key witness in an ongoing congressional investigation. Waldman, who collected nearly $1.1 million from Deripaska in 2016 and 2017, also sought to put Warner in touch with Daniel Jones, a controversial former Senate staffer who is directing Fusion GPS’s post-election dossier vindication operation.

The letter to DOJ from Graham and Grassley, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, appears to be the first formal demand of the DOJ inspector general to disclose whether the author of a dossier that alleged nefarious connections between Donald Trump and the Russians was himself a tool of the Russian government, its intelligence community, or its oligarch allies.

Fusion GPS, a firm the Clinton campaign hired through its lawyers, also has well-known ties to shady Russian firms and officials, as it was hired on behalf of a Russian firm accused of evading U.S. sanctions. Bill Browder is a well-known anti-Putin whistleblower and activist whose attorney, Sergei Magnitsky, was killed in Russian custody, leading to the U.S. enactment of sanctions against Russia. He has accused Fusion GPS of illegally serving as an unregistered foreign agent for Russian individuals and institutions.

In a Senate hearing in July of 2017, Browder repeated the accusation and testified that Fusion GPS was receiving money from Russian sources.

Months earlier, in May 2017, Graham similarly asked former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey whether Fusion GPS, which hired Steele to produce his dossier of allegations against Trump, was itself a Russian operation. Comey repeatedly refused to deny that Fusion GPS was working on behalf of Russian sources during the presidential campaign:

Graham: Are you familiar with Fusion?
Comey: I know the name.

Graham: Are they part of the Russian intelligence apparatus?
Comey: I can’t say.

Graham: Do you agree with me that if Fusion was involved in preparing a dossier against Donald Trump, that would be interfering in our election by the Russians?
Comey: I don’t want to say

Glenn Simpson testified that the FBI never talked to him about the dossier. Does that make any sense ?

http://www.foxnews.com/politic...sier-deposition.html

New details have emerged about questions that former British spy Christopher Steele may be asked regarding the unverified "Trump-Russia" dossier during his upcoming court-ordered deposition in London.

Fox News has obtained and reviewed British court records filed Wednesday in the ongoing multi-million dollar civil suit brought by Russian tech guru Aleksej Gubarev against Buzzfeed and Steele that is underway in courtrooms on both sides of the Atlantic.

description of the court records at link

Evan Fray-Witzer, a Boston-based attorney for Gubarev, told Fox News in an email, "We expect that Mr. Steele will confirm that the allegations concerning Mr. Gubarev were unsolicited and that he included them in the dossier despite having done nothing to verify whether the allegations were true or not."

In London, the Steele deposition could last up to seven hours, something he has gone to great lengths and legal expense to avoid.

According to the newly revealed records, the memo Steele wrote for the dossier in December 2016, after Trump's election, is key to the civil litigation.

On page 9 of the filing, Gubarev's attorneys noted that they sought answers to "the circumstances in which Mr. Steele and Orbis prepared the December memorandum" and "the circumstances in which Mr. Steele transmitted a copy of the December memorandum to Fusion/Senator [John] McCain in December 2016."

According the the British filing, "The dossier was supplied to Fusion on terms that it was subject to an obligation not to disclose it or any of it to third parties without the agreement of Orbis and/or Mr. Steele."

However, Simpson specifically tasked Steele with spreading the dossier's contents to at least five U.S. media outlets friendly to Clinton, via both in-person meetings and Skype.

increased scrutiny has surrounded the role of David J. Kramer, a close associate of McCain who pleaded the Fifth to the House Intelligence Committee, but did give a videotaped deposition in the Buzzfeed litigation filed in Florida. Kramer was tasked by McCain in December 2016 to obtain a debriefing from Steele in Britain and receive a copy of the dossier from Fusion GPS.

Gubarev's attorneys raised questions about " whether Senator McCain or his representative, David Kramer , was responsible for the dissemination of the December 2016 memorandum to the media ..."

Fray-Witzer told Fox News, "[Neither] Steele [nor] Buzzfeed did anything to figure out if the things they were saying about Mr. Gubarev were remotely true. That's not journalism, that's simply smearing someone's reputation."

Steele's videotaped deposition is expected to take place within the next three weeks.

from the court record:

US Defendants = Buzzfeed

Orbis = Steele's company

So after spreading the dossier content to numerous U.S. media, now that he is being sued Christopher Steele is "horrified" that the dossier was published.

Steele now says people w his background would consider publication of such "raw intelligence" as simply unthinkable.

So why did he try to get so many news media to publish it ?

And why then did he think it appropriate to provide it as opposition research to be used against Donald Trump ?

In the book Russian Roulette, Michael Isikoff and David Corn both write that they used Clinton crony Jonathan Winer (who was in the State Dept) to vouch for Christopher Steele

Jonathan M. Winer, an official in John Kerry’s State Department, vouched for the credibility of anti-Trump dossier author Christopher Steele to two reporters before they each broke separate stories about the information contained in Steele’s largely discredited dossier, the two reporters revealed in their new book.

Winer later admitted that while he was at the State Department, he regularly interfaced and exchanged information with Steele, including passing anti-Trump claims to Steele that originated with Cody Shearer, who is a controversial figure long tied to various Clinton scandals. Winer also conceded that Shearer’s claims were provided to him by Clinton confident Sidney Blumenthal.

The authors write:

When he got back to the office, Isikoff called Jonathan Winer at the State Department; he had known Winer for years. Simpson had told him Winer could vouch for Steele . Yes, Steele was an absolutely reliable source, Winer said.

Isikoff called another State Department official who had worked on Russian affairs. The source didn’t know about Page’s alleged meetings in Moscow but knew about Page. U.S. officials had taken notice of his previous trips to Russia, as well his provocative comments critical of U.S. policy and sympathetic to Putin. “He was pretty much a brazen apologist for anything Moscow did,” the official said.

Isikoff did not disclose the name of the other official at the State Department.

**************

Clinton paid for the dossier, then Clinton stooges vouched for Steele to reporters.

Winer passes claims to Steele, then turns around and vouches for Steele. A little circular ?

And yet people want to deny there was a "conspiracy" to frame Donald Trump.

so things have been quiet about the dossier.

Waiting to hear more about the Christopher Steele forced deposition in the Florida lawsuit against Buzzfeed, and hopefully the DoJ IG report comes out soon and really shakes things up.

Here is discussion of the Andrew McCabe lying and firing issues.

Conservative Treehouse has once again been pretty accurate in predicting and analyzing the known information over the last two years.

They have theorized that based on reports, McCabe had 2 interviews (FBI and DoJ IG) before July 2017 about leaks to the press. McCabe apparently denied doing any leaks.

One of the stories under question was this one:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/c...ials-wife-1477266114

"Clinton Ally Aided Campaign of FBI Official’s Wife"

Where it was reported that McCabe's wife got $700k from the DEMs for a campaign in Virginia.

Then the IG got the Strzok/Page texts. Lisa Page was FBI legal counsel to Andrew McCabe. The texts showed Page communicating with Devlin Barrett (author of above WSJ article).

McCabe himself says that suddenly in August 2017, he remembers he might have allowed FBI agents to talk to Devlin Barrett. He changes his story.

McCabe got caught because Lisa Page was interviewed and told the truth.

Lisa Page had just joined Mueller's team and then without explanation, she left Mueller's team in June or July 2017. The DoJ IG got the first of the text messages 20 July 2017.

Note that the FBI and Mueller kept all this deceit by Lisa Page and Peter Strzok quiet from the public, but they did remove Strzok and Page from the Mueller team.

Things became more clear in Dec 2017 when the DoJ IG released some of the Strzok/Page texts.

It is hilarious to realize that Catherine Herridge’s reporting of McCabe being fired for unauthorizd leaking and lying about it is taken from her leakers at the FBI.

quote:
Fox News Catherine Herridge reports today, per her FBI investigative sources, it was an investigative interview with FBI Attorney Lisa Page, in July 2017, that contradicted FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and ultimately led to his firing.

He had been US Attorney in Louisiana, and was the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia appointed by Obama several years ago.

When Trump took over, Deputy AG Sally Yates, acting Attorney General, was fired, and Boente appointed acting Deputy AG, and acting AG pending confirmation of Sessions. When that occurred, Boente remained Acting Deputy until Rosenstein was confirmed.

He was going to resign in October, 2017 but ended up General Counsel of the FBI.

There is a post either in this thread or another where the Page/Strzok pair referred to EDVA as a worry. That reference is to Boente the then US Attorney there.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

agree that Boente appears to be a good guy.

only thing worrisome about him is that he signed for DoJ in the 2nd extension of the FISA warrant against Carter Page.

Rosenstein signed off on the 3rd extension (about June or July 2017)
