Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. I hope this is true.

REPORT: Lisa Page ‘Immunity Deal’ To Expose Comey, Strozk & McCabe

A top legal expert argues that former FBI lawyer Lisa Page may be on the verge of accepting an immunity deal, which could result in her offering substantial information against former top brass at the FBI.

During an interview on Monday night with Fox Business Network’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” Judicial Watch’s Chris Farrell said he has heard rumors that Page is open to potentially accepting an immunity deal to divulge information about fired FBI Director James Comey, fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok.

Farrell said it’s unclear what an immunity deal would specifically entail and that these could just be rumors, but explained that congressional leaders would only offer her legal protection in exchange for truthful information regarding potential unethical and illegal behaviors carried out by the former top officials.

“Well, I think Page has the opportunity to become the anti-Strzok. She’s going to look for an immunity deal, or at least being treated as a cooperating witness.”

“She’s seen from last week what her boyfriend was doing, and she’s probably a pretty sharp attorney. She sees an opportunity or an opening to kind of recast herself, and I think she’s taking advantage of it.”

Strzok served as the No. 2 counterintelligence analyst at the FBI before being demoted last year and fired from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team after an internal probe found that he had sent hundreds of anti-Trump text messages to Page.

Page resigned from her position in May as numerous allegations against her were mounting.

In text messages between Strzok and Page, they spoke about an “insurance policy” in the case that Trump won the election and mentioned a “secret society” to unseat a duly elected president.

Page spoke with lawmakers last week behind closed doors on two separate days. Lawmakers said she was very cooperative and answered many of their questions regarding the FBI’s role in the Russia probe.

Most importantly, they said Page admitted that the anti-Trump text messages she exchanges with Strzok meant “exactly what they said.”

This is crucial because she appears to be the first FBI official to tell lawmakers that the anti-Trump messages are valid, which confirms that top brass at the FBI had extreme animus into the person — President Donald Trump — that they were supposed to be objectively investigating.

Time will tell what happens next, but Farrell believes Page could be on the verge of accepting an immunity deal will send shockwaves across the D.C.

She was answering questions from the committee freely according to reports, not claiming 5th Amendment. Pretty weak for an immunity deal. Who would she testify against? Can she make a case against any of the bigs? What about privilege between her and the client? Who can claim that, if anyone? Immunity doesn’t allow her to waive or ignore any privilege claims.

If you can't identify the client, then surely the client is either the US or the DOJ. It can't be Strzok if all they were talking about is politics and canoodling.

It might be McCabe, to whom she was assigned as special counsel.

Yeah, but isn't that like company employees having a company lawyer assigned to work with them? The client is still the company. The US hired Page, assigned Page, and was paying Page. I'd be surprised if there were anything like a representation agreement that establishes that Page's client was functionally McCabe. What kind of confidentiality can an employee really expect vis-a-vis the employer when the employer provided the lawyer for the employer's purposes?

A formal agreement isn’t essential; the relationship of attorney client is.

I was often employed by a title insurer to represent an insured in resolving a claim the insurer had agreed to take care of. The company paid me, my duty was to the client insured. This was even when I was a full time officer of the insurer, as well as when I was a private lawyer hired to handle the case.

I have no idea what the arrangements are with DOJ lawyers assigned to a specific official as counsel. It raises questions.

You're welcome, sir. And Thanks for posting all these interesting links.

Just a guess, but was the video finished before you tried to create a link via Karmanator? If it wasn't, the URL will have "resume play" (or something to that effect) and not be created.

That might be. It’s a nuance I was not aware of in any event.

With all the talk of Russia hacking the DNC computers and Podesta’s emails, the descriptions of how slowly the DNC reacted to warnings gets little attention.

Mostly material from the “Russian Roulette” book:

Sep 2015

FBI agent Adrian Hawkins called DNC headquarters in Washington DC and asked to speak to the person in charge of technology. The call went to Yared Tamene, an IT specialist from a firm hired by the DNC.

The FBI said at least one computer on the DNC network was compromised.

Tamene was a network administrator, but not an expert in cybersecurity. Tamene was not convinced that Hawkins was from the FBI. Tamene did not see any signs of intrusion.

Oct 2015

FBI agent Hawkins called several times and left messages. Tamene ignored them.

Nov 2015

Hawkins called again. Tamene told him he had found nothing suspicious on the DNC network.

Hawkins told Tamene that at least one DNC computer was “calling home” to Russia.

Tamene still couldn’t find any signs of intrusion.

Jan 2016

Hawkins called again and asked to meet Tamene. They met at an FBI office. Tamene was finally convinced that he was really talking to the FBI.

Hawkins showed Tamene internet traffic logs showing communication from the DNC to a Russian IP address.

Tamene and a colleague still couldn’t find the traffic on the DNC system.

Feb 2016

Hawkins provided a specific IP address to search for. Tamene still couldn’t see anything from his end.

Russian hackers had been in the DNC system for at least 5 months. Still no action to stop them.

19 Mar 2016

John Podesta got an email from “Google” to change his password for his gmail account. The email was passed to Charles Delavan, a young IT staffer at the Clinton campaign.

Delevan replied the “Google” email was legit and Podesta should change his password ASAP. In his response, Delevan provided the correct link to change the gmail password.

The “Google” email was a phishing fraud. Podesta clicked on the link in the phishing email and created a new password. The phishing email is believed to have been from the GRU Russian military intelligence.

Tens of thousands of Podesta emails were obtained by the hackers. Delevan would eventually say he made a typo and meant to say “not legit”.

Apr 2016

Hawkins again contacted Tamene that activity was being detected that indicated a compromise of the DNC network.

Word finally was passed upward in the DNC chain to include Perkins Coie lawyer Michael Sussman (former DoJ computer crimes prosecutor).

29 Apr 2016

Tamene detects that someone logged into the DNC network using Tamene’s own stolen credentials.

DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was informed there was a major problem.

Perkins Coie Michael Sussman retained CrowdStrike to investigate the breach.

7 months after the FBI first contacted the DNC IT.

I expect the coordinated Demokratic/media (one and the same) attack on Lisa Page to begin any day now.
