Want to know real insanity, most school districts and states require a masters degree for educators, if you don't start with it they requires you get it or a specialist degree.

My wife's pay is so low we will have her loans till she is 60

In the end, graduate school...particularly an MBA is a personal decision. There are too many variables to consider and most are highly probabilistic. If you are just trying to get a leg up on your next couple of promotions, it's probably not worth the financial commitment. If you are looking for a lifestyle change...maybe.

For me, the payoff was not financial. I was already making at least as much as I make now without even a college degree as an Entrepeneur of multiple mechanic shops. However, I was logging 80 hrs a week...sometimes more. Now I work 40 hrs and make almost as much. Hell, I even get to see my wife and daughter. So my quality of life skyrocketed, I have far less responsibility and my blood pressure is under control. Financially, I make about the same... Maybe a bit less when adjusting for inflation.

It's also pretty cool to be an alumni of a school with an international reputation as a top tier institution...bragging rights.
