My commie sister in Seattle is all in a tizzie over this homeless problem.

"We have to do something for them. We have to help them", she says.

She doesn't want to hear that all of her "help" has caused this problem.

Mind boggling.

I'm thinking a bunch of bug foggers thrown into these "neighborhoods" every night might make them get the hint and move along.
If that proves ineffective I vote to upgrade to frag grenades.

There are a number of challenges in helping the homeless. First is health/safety concerns for those trying to assist. Second is that mental health and drug addiction are major contributors to drug addiction. Third is that raising funds to help the homeless is a notable source of money for politicians and bureaucrats. And from my own experience, many have compassion for the needy, but not enough compassion to inconvenience themselves, they want someone else to solve the problem.

Have her move to Portland, where you can host a homeless in your backyard garden-shed.

Then when you want them to move, you will find that you have to go through an expensive and time consuming eviction process since your yard is their home.

That video just blew me away. How can the Democrats that have a stranglehold on State and large-city government even begin to justify this? Are there really that many voting Democrats that continue to support this sort of thing?

Did you ask here how many of them she has living in her home?

People click "Like" all the time on stories about homelessness...That's not helping? </sarcasm>

I heard the term "slacktivism/slacktivist" a few years ago. People who want to help, but are too lazy. Clicking a mouse button is about all the work they want to do.

I live behind enemy lines in Cali. Most of the persons in the cities appear to be fully out of touch with reality and have no desire to stop voting for the Dems. Anti 2A, pro sexual weirdness, and anti Trump.

My sister-in-law and BIL live in Mission Viejo and one of these days we’re going to have to head over for our nephew’s wedding—not looking forward to it.

I’d like think voters will come to their senses, but I won’t hold my breath. I assume you’re locked in there, Steve. I’m sorry for that. Hope you’re able to thrive in spite of state politics.

All of those "homeless" people in those tents along that bicycle path are collecting public assistance money. That's why they will continue to vote Democrat. People who haven't dealt with these types of people actually believe they don't want to live this way - nothing could be further from the truth. Their only agenda is to get mo' drugs and mo' alcohol.

(I know because I have worked with the organizations who try to help the "homeless.")

I found what you said riveting.

Barge. Maybe a couple dozen of them. Tug them out 20 miles off the coast, unhook and have the tugs head home. That's about all I'm willing to do to help them at this point. Fuck. Those. People.

The hooker I used to give food to pissed on my car, which my coworker got a video of. That wasn't quite my breaking point, though. Stepping in human shit several times, constantly seeing and smelling human shit and piss, and the passing of it more often than not surely didn't help. The confused-looking white guy with blonde dreads who tried to race across the street with a duffel bag that spilled open, pouring an ankle-deep pile of hypodermic needles with fresh orange caps at his feet while I drove around him, his mouth agape.... He might've been the last straw. I really wish my dashcam had been working for that one, but I've got pictures and videos of plenty of other horrible stuff that probably needs to go on Liveleak.

No, fuck these people. We don't have to do shit for them, because they don't want help. They like to hurt, both themselves and others.

* Edit - And I realize how horrible and uncompassionate that sounds. It makes me cringe to read having written that. But I can only cringe now reading the cold words, and as I remember the horrible stuff I saw those people doing to each other and everyone around them, it starts to make my blood boil again. And I realize, experience is everything.

I'm happy to relate personal experiences about any of my situations with The Homeless of Tacoma with anyone who wants to ask, and given hints by Para and the staff previously, some of it is so bad they don't want it on the boards here so I'm happy to answer emails if you want the real nitty gritty. If you think I'm horrible for what I said above, I bet I could educate you quite otherwise in an afternoon and very little driving around town.

These people are a plague, and the answer isn't to give them safe injection sites with government heroin and home them in shelters like a metastasized cancer on society. That's the progressive answer to what you're seeing in the video. Give these people shelter and safe injection sites so the tragedy of opioid death doesn't continue is the new drumbeat of these fucking nitwits out on the Coastal Libholds.

Hence the systemic problem with the left's policies. Same situation with the illegals - the dems are quite comfortable catering to them knowing that they are the up and coming voting bloc. They're very willing to sell out this country and it's citizens to advance their agenda. California bears this out completely.

And the liberal agenda is very self-serving, damaging to the future of America, and has duped most of my neighbors. Roll Eyes

I would tell her that she is right and should by letting them into her house, yard and refrigerator.

This is all about the liberals their need to control people so they can remain in power. Give a man a fish and he is fed and will need a fish tomorrow.....they need this so the votes keep coming in. Teach a man to fish and he can feed himself and not need their hand and thus will vote eventually not based on the handout.

I believe the Supreme court will change for the better when Ginsburg dies, and Trump will then nominate a better person. Trump and the Federal government will then give us our 2A rights back. Also as the rest of the country improves, the young and misled may realize that they have been lied to, and will start voting against our socialist leaders.

Wow, just wow. Never seen anything like that here in Illinois even driving through the near suburbs of shitcago. There are multiple pan handlers at every exit to the expressway though and even on the "Magnificent Mile" Roll Eyes.

IMO vast majority of those are fine with their life style and aren't starving with their EBT cards and such. Their luxury is not having to have a job or pass a drug test. Fuck them all. Lots of Bernie Sanders supporters for sure.
