One thing I noticed in '85 that when they reintroduced "Classic Coke" it had a different taste than the original formula. I chalked it up to the use of High Fructose Corn Syrup. It gave it a sweeter taste than the previous original formula. I contended at the time and still do that it made it easier for them to substitute HFCS for real sugar, the intermediate New Coke took the brunt of the blame so to speak and there was now enough lag time between original and Classic for consumers to not notice the big difference in taste. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
