So I picked up this mini pc and it runs great on my Tv. Got a wireless key board with the track pad. I had been using a chrome cast for netflix and an older wii for amazon.

I looked at those a couple of years ago because I wanted a mini PC to act as a DVR, but settled on a Beebox mini PC, which is larger. At the time the reviews of the stick weren't great, but it looks like they have improved them.

What are you using it for? Just netflix and amazon? I only use my mini for a HD Homerun DVR, and use a Roku for all other apps.

Make sense.

I still have a PC for personal stuff and a laptop for work/light personal stuff, so the mini PC + TV only fills one nitch for me (DVR).

I had to use up some Intel Product Dealer points in Dec and I have the same one and am now testing it for the same purpose.
I installed W10 Pro and JRiver Media Center on it but that is about it so far.
I will be attaching an USB Dragonfly DAC to hook to some audio.
Tried putting Server 2016 on it > it installed but no WiFi. Frown
Still checking it out in the experimental stage.
No conclusion yet.

Consider me amazed. Wow.

I may pick one up just to have a second computer.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I got one for my step mom a month of so ago. She's never had a computer before this one. Picked it right up and is now addicted to surfing the net. It's a great product for people that have limited mobility. A flip of the remote control and she's watching TV another flip she's googling stuff. Pretty amazing little device when you compare it to the TRS-80 that my dad had me program for his business. Kicks it's ass spec wise and price wise plus it fits in your pocket.

That is slick. I may have to pick one up as well.

Question: Will it run a program like Rosette Stone language software?

Does Rosetta Stone need a mic? I don't think it has one. If not it should run fine. You can expand memory with external or micro sd card.

Wireless/bluetooth headset should take care of that.

Cool. And yes it does require a mic for the normal lesson. Looks like you may also be able to hook the mic up via the USB.
