Or was it a pony. Smile Ten months old and already 95 pounds. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a hardship case. He's a Blue Merle Great Dane and totally full of himself. And so it begins...

On the way home after picking him up. Rides in the truck well. Check!

Learning the rules from the old man of the house. Gets along with other dogs. Check!

That's it. Totally spent and done for the day. Likes to sleep. Check! Smile

He'll be registered with the Central Florida Great Dane Rescue on Monday, and I'll foster him until he finds a new home. Given his age, personality, and behavior traits, something tells me he won't have an issue finding a new home.

I have a feeling that after a week or two, you won't let him go to a new home!

Thank you for fostering! Looks like a sweet pooch.

I have a small fawn (140#) and a big Harly (175#). Danes are great and goofy - too bad lots of people don’t realize how big they will get then can’t handle them.

Definitely dogs that must be trained well and know their place in the pecking order.

We have considered getting a third but the Harly (2.5yrs) has been a handful and taking his time at ‘growing’ up.

He looks like a great dog but I'm partial to the big boys.

My lab was just over 100lbs.

You can see the long legs he will grow into. Beautiful dog.

I wish I was in a position to have a few larger dogs.

I have some friends that typically have two of these dogs. My memorable moment was when they walked across the couch in the living room like I step over the curb. These are BIG dogs.

Thank you for fostering!

We also foster, but not (yet) large dogs.

He's beautiful.

Regardless, they're all wonderful.

They all get inside your heart. For us, I always get the duty of taking them to their "forever homes," while my wife cries her heart out (someone has to be strong, so we can foster again).

We have kept a few... along with our Yorkies saved from an amish puppy mill.

Might just be a "foster failure" for you ? Big Grin

Great Danes are the smallest dog you will ever own.

The most amazing thing about a Dane puppy is you can see them grow day to day.

You don't think it's possible but they grow so much you can tell the difference.

Sucker! Big Grin

Hey, at least you’ve got a beautiful dog. Better yet, it sounds like his spirit/disposition is as beautiful as his looks.

Enjoy him!
