My son gave me a Luminox watch that he acquired in a trade and I would like to get the crystal changed . The body is perfect and the band is new . Replacing the crystal would make this thing a real gem . Anyway , I was looking for a ballpark number on what it might cost . Anybody know ?

Send it to the authorized service center in Rhode Island. I have sent mine there several times for batteries or major repairs. They do great work and even if the watch is a discontinued model, they will do their best to fix it right.

I'll second this suggestion. I've only sent mine in once for a battery change and general inspection/ testing, but it came back ticking just fine...come to think of it, I'd guess that I'll be coming up on the next battery change within the next few months.

Regarding a crystal replacement ball park cost, I haven't checked their website recently but several years ago the Rhode Island service center had a PDF of their basic services and costs break down that you could print out and include when you shipped the watch in.

If you do get the crystal replaced be sure and follow-up with a post as I am considering a replacement as well.

You may have to call to get a quote for the crystal, but I recommend sending it to them. I just got mine back and it was a very hassle-free process. Completely satisfied.

Saltzman‘s. I’ve used them many times.
