Can't buy a decent night sleep. Staying active, cut out the nite snacks, chill out and relax a couple hours before I hit the sack, go to bed, and every 2 hours, it's the deer in the headlites thing. I'd be pushing it if I said I got 3 hours a night and it's been like this for over a year now. Any pointers? Play hide the wiener you say? Nope, that didn't help either.

Nyquil? Wink

I do use Sleep MD when I need to ensure a full night of sleep. I also noticed that I get more restful sleep when I use Breath Right Strips. I wear one every night unless I run out.

Select Comfort Sleep Number Bed

We got a P7 3 months ago and the thing is absolutely amazing!!!!
Wife had back problems and I had sleeping problems. Both were solved in the first week!

Now I just recently got a special mouthpeice to sleep in and I no longer snore.
Sleep in this house has never been so good!!!

Single Malt Scotch ... a moderate amount ... with a Montecristo #2 (de Habana) ... every other evening, two hours before bed.

Works for me! Wink

Well, I'm halfway there. I'm an X smoker, but maybe I should try the cigar thing. Just a little skeered of picking back up an old habit. Got a buddy that's into that, and it works for him too.

I tried the breathrite strips as snoring is an issue in our bedroom, (and I still say it's the 'ol lady because I haven't heard me snore yet), but those strips didn't work for me. I'm trying to do this without sleep aids but so far, no worky for me.

That's interesting but a whore of an investment rolling the dice in hope that it does the trick. I got fitted for a mouthpiece too, and that damn thing just kept me awake.

They have a 30 night money back guarantee.
Went to the store and they said they would extend that to 60 if we still weren't sure.

We were positive after the first week.

50 mg of Benadryl works like a charm for me. YMMV

Yeah, I'd like to know the answer to that question. I used to be able to sleep while F-16s were taking off just a couple hundred yards away. As soon as I hit 52 the slightest sound wakes me up and thats it for the night. There are plenty of days I go to work with just three hours sleep. Aside from changing the mattress I've done all the things folks say you are supposed to do. I've finally just chalked it up to the age thing.

exercise?

benadryl works well as mentioned above.

I know since I hit 40, I don't really get a good 8 hours sleep anymore like I did in my 20's & 30's. A good night for me is 6-7 hours tops now....

And those damn hot flashes! Oh, wait, maybe that's just me.

I just took two Unisom. Will help. I'll wake up every two hours instead of every hour. Roll Eyes

I feel your pain.

That's what I thought, more exercise. Then I thought about some other things. Is there any stability in your life from day to day or is it chaos all the time? Is there something on your mind, some problem you can't resolve, people stress over alot of things and that prevents a person from getting good sleep.

Like Curly said you need to see a doctor.
Losing sleep will eventually affect mental function, judgment.

You didn't mention anything about caffeine, if you drink it or how much.

I was having similar trouble until I cut my coffee down to one mug in the morning.

I never had trouble falling asleep, but I would wake up in the middle of the night, wide awake.
I can now sleep my 7 -8 hours normally.

What's that stuff called? Ambien, I think? My wife has some and it kicks her butt! I'm pretty sure I could have a party and she wouldn't know...
