Maintenance is expensive!
Time for the 400 hour service on the Cabota.

Just the filters - air, oil, fuel, hydraulic and transmission - were $140.00. Add in another $60 for a couple of gallons of Kubota's trans/hydraulic fluid.

Oh well. Pay me now or pay me later...

Yup, plus those were NAPA filters. Same filter painted gray with a black K stenciled on it would've been even more.

The filter pack for my JD is $195 with no fluids. They definitely get a good buck for those things.

Maintenance is a lot less expensive than no maintenance.

Exactly. Hence the "pay me now or pay me later".

That's a deal these days.....I'm paying $30-60 a filter for oil or fuel filters on small generators (under 30 kw) for Onan/Cummins, Kohler, etc......

sounds like you got off easy.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Dude it’s a Kubota! That’s one reliable mother fucker in a sea of unreliable hot garbage out there. I’m the opposite, $140 extremely well spent!

You sure 2 gallons is enough? I recall buying a 5 gallon pail of SUDT when I did the 50 hour on my B2650 and there wasn't much left over.
I'll be doing the 50 hour on my L2501 now pretty soon.
