At 183k miles it is starting to nickle and dime me to death. The wife is working full time again and her job has her traveling all over the state. She has to travel int he Tahoe because the Subaru is not dependable enough. 17MPG is killing us.

So, after taking advantage of Honda's 2.9% financing tomorrow and a nice employee discount I will be trading in the Subaru for a Civic LX tomorrow.

That means I finally get to drive my Tahoe again and stop driving the lesbian mobile. Roll Eyes

183k is a good run. Doesn't seem like something to bitch about to me.

My first honda made it to 185ish before I sold it, and it still held a decent value. Im sure you will be happy with the new Civic.

I guess the bitch is that I will be back into a car payment before I really wanted to be. I have had an Accord before and a Civic. I ran the previous civic to 160k and the only reason I sold it was because it was a two door and was really tricky to get small kids in and out of. Other than that there was nothing wrong with it at all. When it came time to replace the Subaru, there was almost no question that we would get a civic.

Is the nickle and dimes enough to add up to a new car payment?

Wow, that's worse than a "chick's car".

What's a gay guy car, I wonder?

My Honda gave me 220K before the head or head gasket gave up. That was just the straw that ended it - it was pretty worn. Good car, and I too, hated to have a car payment again.

Not even remotely close to the Aztek. And has a whole lot more performance heritage.

Love my Subaru. Probably be the only car company I buy from for a long time to come.

I'm driving my fifth Honda now, a 2003 Civic. Three previous Hondas had over 240,000 miles on them when I sold them, and all I did is standard maintenance and oil changes every 5000 miles.
