Well...the hockey season has restarted. I tuned in last night to watch the PHI-PIT game. To might utter surprise and delight, there was NO KNEELING!!!! My faith in the NHL has been restored.

It's not ALL without social justice B.S., however. The Bruins put out this statement...

At least I can applaud them for not kneeling... [ Roll Eyes and loooong sigh]

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Nascar got my vote to not watch anymore.
So did Formula 1.

At least, I have Moto GP.
They are going too fast to care about BLM.

I'm pretty hopeful we won't see any kneeling or other such nonsense with hockey players, they're just too classy for that type of behavior. I fully expect messaging from the league and individual clubs, especially since "silence is violence" and anyone who doesn't speak out against inequality is guilty of promoting it.

My team, LAK, have joined an alliance to promote diversity in sports by supporting local sports organizations and community programs targeting minority kids, as well as hiring more minorities into leadership roles. While I'm obviously not outright opposed to this, I do worry it's a slippery slope towards more extreme leftist ideology.

So for now things are ok, but if I get one whiff of support for BLM or democratic socialist agendas by the league or individual teams/players I'm out.

Are there any black hockey players? Just heard Chris Rock say on the Comedy Channel, there won't be any until they have heated ice rinks.

Yes there are. Black swimmers as well. As you might expect they are generally Canadian. You must not follow hockey. P. K. Subban is one of the best defensemen in the NHL.

No, I don't follow hockey. It wasn't until I got a 60 inch TV, that I could see the damned puck.

I wish every time a white guy got shot by the cops, they'd put it on the news, so I could stay home from work and still get paid.

According to what I saw in the local "news" sports segment tonight, the NHL, NBA, MLB, and NHL are all going to suspend/cancel games in support of racial justice

Boy, am I ever glad I never suffered from the watching sports addiction.

Alienate what few fans they have left by cancelling games in protest. Brilliant strategy. By God, THAT'LL show 'em.

Yet not giving up the paycheck for the game. So basically they do nothing for their money. How patriotic.

As the NBA and MLB return from their coronavirus-imposed hiatus, it appears TV viewers are not interested in what the increasingly woke leagues have to offer.

With both baseball and basketball draped in all sorts of Black Lives Matter and social justice symbolism for their opening games, a substantially smaller number of fans tuned-in to the rest of the week’s games.

I can't believe how much more pleasant golf is to watch without a throng of loudmouths behind the ropes, politics notwithstanding.

You mean the idiot(s) who shows up at every green and cleverly yells "get in the hole!"

There's a lot more to it, I've said this years ago-
Pepsi? Fuck you, you advertise with NBA, NFL,...
Taco Bell,? Fuck you, you advertise with NBA, NFL,...
Nike? Stick your overpriced, child slave made shoes up your ass, you advertise with NBA, NFL...
Gatorade? You can go fucketh thyself as well...

You want to really mess with someone? Mess with their money, and let them know WHY.

I'd like to, but...
Pepsi: Preferred Coke, but now drink very, very little soda pop at all
Taco Bell: Went to one a couple months ago. First time in probably twenty years. It was horrible. Won't go back again.
Nike: There were always other shoes I preferred.
Gatorade: Hardly ever drank it in the first place.

Ok, so we have YOU, and ME.
Now WE just need a few million people that think like us on this scarcely populated band wagon.
You and me aren't going to make much of a dent in sales at the end of the day.

Turn off any of these major sports that support this shit. Stop buying items that advertises with them. Stop buying from companies that donate to the cause.

The bad thing is, that's a pretty large and popular list of "stuff".
Darn tough
Goodyear
Ford
Gillette
Nabisco (ritz, Oreo, chips ahoy)
Amazon
Microsoft
XBox
Atlantic and Warner records
Door dash
23and me
Unilever (axe body spray, degree deodorant)
Fitbit
Ubisoft

And the list goes on, and on and on...
