Yeah sounds like real discrimination, checking to see whether you can get a loan. I guess you need to add race color creed and sexual orientation to the add.

Back at it again. 4 realtors with appointments to show the house, all are no shows. I politely explain the mls box is not here yet, so i will let them in. Pls let me know if they are not going to arrive, or be late arriving.

Years back we were renting out 3 houses. 2 were fully paid, one we still owed money on.

In about 2 years we went through 5 renters. Only one of them paid on time, did not cause problems and kept the place clean. He also shoveled the snow off the sidewalk in the winter. We sold all 3 of the rental properties, and vowed never to rent again! And have not. Repairs and insurance cost more than the whole shit sandwich is/was worth.

Brokers are the loan agent

Appraisers are "independent" of the two, and either an angel or devil depending on their assessment of the property.

Yes, I try not to raise rents on my good tenants. But it's a double edged sword, as ALL expenses keep going up every year- taxes, insurance, etc. (those 2 seem to go up 10% a year). I have one tenant that's been there since 2014, they're paying $1135 a month (they started at $1100 and only raised them once $35 a month at year 3). I have another tenant that moved into the unit next door which is identical, they're pay $1350 a month. So you tend to lose a lot of income if you don't raise the rent and your profit margin shrinks because your expenses keep going up every year. So it's a fine line of keeping a long term tenant happy, and paying your own bills.

We ended up listing the home with our agent who helped us buy it. We had a contract with in 15 days. Mostly due to the buyers work schedule. (brain surgeon)

This thread is why I paid a property management company to manage our rental. Selling it was still a great day in my life.
