It will drive me crazy.

It is the silliest way of picking a candidate, and throughly annoying to keep hearing.

I think we should caucus to form a sigforum caucus to eliminate caucuses in states that use a caucus.

Is that your Caucasian privilege speaking there, Kevin?

Seriously never paid attention to Iowa caucus before last night. I never placed any real significance on their input to the presidency. Always figured it was the first one and beyond that who cares. I watched last night. Holy fuck. I watched people wander around a gymnasium seating themselves as they would vote while other people tried to convince them to sit here instead. Then they counted on yellow legal pads all while acknowledging the actual numbers wouldn’t correlate to who got the actual nod. It was mind numbing.

On the way home from work yesterday, one of the radio talkers used the term "Hawkeye caucii." Cracked me up!

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

I will admit to having little knowledge of the Iowa caucus, but it does seem like the dumbest way to pick a winner.

I’m not standing near Kevin. He doesn’t wear pants and his caucus is probably hanging out.

The GOP system is far less theatrical and much simpler. Went to my first in 2016, it was held in a banquet hall with lots of round tables. No standing, no moving around, no separate groups.

They checked our names to ensure we were indeed registered Republicans. After a brief intro, candidates were allowed speakers for a one minute "Why you should vote for him/her" speech, though some candidates had no speakers.

Then we voted on a piece of paper. They counted the votes in front of everyone, each candidate was allowed a monitor to view the counting. They announced the results. THE END.

Even without (cough, cough) coding issues, the Demokrat process sounds like a total cluster.

It really is a stupid way to do things. They also redistributed the vote to make Butt-whatever his name is, the winner even though Bernie got more votes.
Hey Bernie....how's that socialist redistribution idea working out for ya?

The problem is that the deep state, run by those same people, also runs the IRS and the SSA. So no, they can't run any thing much, except with a bunch of overpaid bureaucrats. There is one big problem in all this. They want to extend their expertise into wasting our tax dollars.

Idaho GOP only does a Caucus, the Dems do a Primary. So explain why a Caucus is not a good thing?
