Forum posts that annoy me:
I honestly can say I've not come across any types of posts here and generally elsewhere that annoy me.

I think it's a combination of having reached a level of don't-give-a-shit about what people may post and being an asymptomatic carrier.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Quit yer bitch'n. I was wondering how long it would be till someone Rick rolled us. Seems like the perfect thread for it. Better still, how long did you listen before you realized you were had?

Some people ego’s get stoked by the number of reads they get and figure “You’ll never believe what happened to me today” will get them more attention than “I got a flat tire.”

I try ignore click bait in any shape or form and the times I do succumb I almost always find them underwhelming at best. If what you have to say is actually interesting why the need for teaser subject titles? It’s not like the moderators haven’t asked people to cut it out countless times.

I have to say it's probably the first time I didn't get burned by it!

Gigantic fracking photos, because some people can't seem to come to grips with Life After Photobucket.

I'm about this >< far from just blocking every gorram free photo hosting site on the fracking Internet

When someone posts a link to a YouTube video and someone feels the need to embed the video. That takes up bandwidth and memory which can slow an older computer or someone on a limited speed internet connection. The link is already there. Just let people click on it to go to the YouTube page.

I've almost called out the king of those a few times, but always manage to hold off.

Burned!

Besides: Unless your browser/device/whatever is set to auto-play, what's it matter?

Well, it does matter, because for an embedded video you have to download the "preview", as opposed to just a link. I agree with Orguss' premise, just not his history. Smile

There's a difference between specifically doing it when you post and when someone comes along and embeds a video after you've simply posted a link.

Sorry. I honestly had to Google Nick Saban. I had heard the name, but I couldn’t tell you in what context.

But you googled instead of saying "who" Wink

Hmm. I don’t like it when the topic is Music and someone just posts a YouTube link, or a whole string of YT links. No explanation, no indication of what, or who, the link will take you to. At least an embedded link shows you both who the artist is and what song they are playing.

Related to “So what do we like for...” is the one that says “Thinking of Buying...”. I always want to reply, come back when you’re pretty sure. I guess I’m the only one though, seems like those threads always run 4 or more pages.

Guilty as charged.

I usually do it because I figured the member doesn't know how to imbed videos and I'm trying to make it easier to click on it directly, rather than have to go to youtube.

I think you need a faster computer if this is causing you issues.

I'd rather see the video embedded - as stated before; at least then you can see the title and picture/artist/etc. Helps me decide if I care enough to watch or not...
