I actually saw the guy last week, I thought about it, but realized I needed to say something.

I told him if he has a problem with my kid, please talk to me first. I kind of exaggerated the fact that he "made my kid feel like shit", instead of telling him he really pissed my kid off. I admire the tenacity of my son, but I'm trying to make him realize their is a right way to handle things.

He apologized, said he is a parent with kids, and was sorry if he came across that way.

BUT, he hasn't apologized to my kid yet...

The guy apologized. I think you're assuming / expecting too much now.

Did you tell him you expect him to apologize directly to your son? And did he agree to do so? If you didn't tell him your expectations, did you expect him to read your mind? He's not a mind reader. He apologized to you when you brought it up. And, now, you should let it go.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
