I'm wondering if either of you have ever really seen the Alien movies. There's only one cat - Jones - and he and Ripley were the only survivors of the events on board the Nostromo. After floating in space for 57 years and drifting through the core systems, they're found by a deep salvage team and taken to Gateway Station in high Earth orbit. Ripley subsequently departs with the crew of the USS Sulaco and Jones stays behind, presumably still on Gateway Station. From the beginning of the original film, Ripley never sets foot on Earth again before her death in the third film. The cat - Jones - is the sole survivor.
